Titan Engines Reviews (2)

I bought a motor for my Jeep Grand Cherokee In October of From the first mile it was just junkMe and the mechanic went ONE MILE to check out the motors performanceAt the ONE MILE Mark at loud ticking noise startedMy mechanic said the cam shaft was no good, after doing an hour of trouble shooting
I called Titan Engines up about the problemI wanted to ship this motor back for a different oneI mean we only went milesTitan Engines said the cam was not warranted by its manufacturersI told them I bought an entire motor w/a warranty, not just a cam!!!!
After minute conversation, they said they would send my mechanic a cam kit
Well we put the cam kit inEverything sounded goodThe mechanic took it for a mile test driveEverything seemed OKI decided to really put a few hundred miles on the engine
I go a total of milestimes during this test drive I had to add coolant to the reservoir I make it home, take Jeep back to my mechanics shop the next dayThe oil stick has a milky slime on itThe coolant was leaking into the blockNeedless to say, I wanted a different engine or refundI call Titan up reexplain my issues and my remedy
They tell me to Ship them the engineThey will examine and diagnose itThen they will tell me how much it will cost to fix itI asked "Why should I pay for any repairs, since the engine is under warranty"? They said it was my fault it broke downHow would a telephone salesman know this w/out looking at the motor? They even stiffed my mechanic for putting in a cam kit, at THEIR REQUEST!!!!
Lucky for me, the breakdown happened so fast I never mailed in the Warranty
Why I say this is, on the back of the warranty (in small print) is a RESOLUTION CLUSE that basically states, you won't sue them in real courtInstead YOU will have to pay 50% to have a mitigation firm to settle any disputes, plus it has to be done in Ocala Florida
Well I go to the Marion Court House and file a real Law Suit against themCome to find out, TITAN ENGINES is not their company nameTheir real name is MOTOR PARTS of OCALAI found that out on SUNBIZ.COM
The court day comes around, NOBODY from TITAN ENGINES shows upThe Judge gives me a DEFAULT JUDGMENTI thought this would be itNo! They heir a lawyer to ask for a "Do Over" because the Registered Agent could not read or understand a simple court summonsThey drag this out until the last moment allowed by Florida lawI finely get a hearing date of MARCH 2016, keep in mind I bought this motor in OCTOBER 2014, The original court date was MAY
Well I show up for this court date tooTheir lawyer looked disappointed that I was there
He told me he was hoping this would be settled PRIMA FASCIAI told him "Not today buddy"
In the PETITION TO SET ASIDE DEFAULT, Titan Engines so called MERITORIOUS DEFENSE was that my mechanic bought the engine, not meTitan Entered into exhibits a forged credit card transactions sheet for the day I bought the motor
They replaced my name w/my mechanics name, they got from a shipping ticket
The Judge saw through this scamThe hearing took about minutesMost of the hearing was the judge scolding the lawyer on submitting such "Questionable Evidence " in his courtI think this was bad for the lawyers future credibilityI kind of felt bad for him, he was just doing what Titan told him
The Judge UPHOLDS his DEFAULT JUDGMENT
Trying to collect was a challenge alsoThis has been going on for over a yearI politely wait days to receive payment on the judgmentOn March I go to TITAN ENGINES w/a copy of the Judgment, on the back I wrote a note saying if I'm not paid in full by APRIL 2016, I will have the Sheriff Seize their whole shop, property, and inventory to be auctioned off so I can get the money they owed me
They did pay in full, after I go through mountains of unnecessary stuff
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!

First I got the wrong motor for my jeep after I gave them every bit of information they askedI got a cherokee motor for a grand cherokeemy jeep had the motor out at the shop ready for the new oneMy jeep had to set for several days at the shop which strained that relationship and to up shop spaceThen the new motor come many days and many phone calls laterThen I had two motors my core and the wrong new motorThey arranged for shipping pick up and said it would be a couple of days which was wrong again and after many days and many phone calls and errors on thier part the motors was picked upFirst they sent pick up to my house when they knew they shipped directly to the shop that cost a few days then they asked if some one would put both motor on a crate and secure the motors for themAfter the long ammount of time and flustration the shop refused and I dont blame themSo shipping failed againThey ask me if I could go to the shop and put them and get the shop to let me put them on a pallet and strap them down I told them I could not make the shop give me the space or do work on thier behalfSo shipping was arranged again days and many phone calls latterFinally the motors was picked up but the shipping company the used some how delivered the new wrong motor but lost my core motorSo many phone calls and days latter that they made me wait for thier mistake my motor gets back to titian and then they tell me they cant send me my core money back until they can break down my motor and look at it and they could not even give me a date when that might beSo after many days and phone calls the send me a bogus refund receipt showing they refunded my motor but it did not post to my accountIt took two months and over twenty phone calls for a transaction that was suppose to be days accourding to themThen when I asked to speak to the manager I was first denied and then I was promised that he would call me which never happened
