We met with several roofing companies and were most impressed with Titans. I did a great deal of research on roofing systems prior to our meeting and Shawn came out and checked all of my boxes. Titans installs high quality shingles and are Bauemler Approved. After flying a drone over my house, taking precise measurements, inspecting my attic and going over our options, we were given a very reasonable quote. When the crew showed up for installation, they all cared about what they were doing. I watched them closely and saw one of the crew inspecting each shingle before sending it up. They stayed until the job was done and after they were finished, the supervisor talked to me for 20 minutes explaining what they had done. The roof looks amazing (I never thought I'd be excited about a roof!) and it will last a long time because it was done right. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys. Worst experience ever. To start with, they came to our house on the wrong day. The person who came to our door to lead the job did not ask me to sign a waiver before I left for the day (this becomes extremely important as you will see). Before I left for the morning he had come to my door 3 times but never asked for me to sign anything (the first time, I was in the shower because I wasn't expecting them, the second time it was to move the family van and the third time it was to talk about parking which we were completely happy to oblige him). At no time did he say that materials were coming later and another vehicle had to be moved to support that (this also becomes important because I was accused of refusing to accept materials which is a complete mystery to me but must be related to the waiver). When I was home he had a truck with some ladders. He asked me to move my van to support that and I did. I offered an open house and drinks to the staff even though I was leaving and wouldn't be there. After leaving the house, assuming the job was underway, I had a few calls about 45 minutes later, while at a specialist appointment. I was told that I did not sign the waiver for the guys to begin the job. I was shocked and upset because I was 30 km away and why didn't the guy ask me as I was telling him I was leaving for the day? It was frustrating so I asked to speak to the owner. The secretary said I could talk to him 'right away', then put me on hold for over a minute and then said he would call back (all while I was still at a specialist appt).
After they took 1/3 of our roof off the owner proceeded to cancel the job because I did not sign the waiver and alleged that I did not allow them to deliver materials and that I hung up on his wife (I hung up when she said he would call me back after leaving me on hold because as they knew, I was at an appt). I never spoke to the owner. We now have 1/3 of our roof missing, a fabricated story about why they left and a very unprofessional experience. This company completely let us down. I was upset when I was getting calls after leaving the property for the day. I tried to resolve it even though they came on the wrong day and even though they waved goodbye to me before I left the property for my appointments. With all of these facts, still the owner or even a foreman or manager did not call me. We have no recourse but to hire a lawyer and take them to court or walk away with an unprotected roof. What do I do now with 1/3 of my roof missing? Another review stated that they couldn't get anyone to do the job once Titan left their roof undone as well. Is this a common experience for them? I agree with the other review that their office staff is completely disorganized.
Shocking experience. Run as fast as you can. The owner and/or manager never even came to our house to start the job. The wife/secretary argued with me that she left a 'voice mail' indicating the change in schedule the night before this $10,000 job was to begin. I didn't get the voice mail and no none from Titan had an actual. conversation with us to confirm anything. We have since found another company who is helping us and told us that we were way over quoted by over $3,500 on this job. Maybe we were lucky in the end to not get robbed. Instead we were traumatized by this terrible experience leaving us with an exposed roof. Bottom line - Titan Roofing put us through emotional and physical [redacted]. Stay away!
