Title 24 Energy Reports

We dealt with Mr. [redacted] professionally from the beginning. Our response stands on it's own when reading our emails back & forth. It was clear that Mr [redacted] gave us the approval to register the report & provide it to him. I'm not sure why he continues to bad moth & slander our company...

as we did exactly what was promised. We never asked for him to accept or reject our response to his complaint, we simply responded to his complaint with a chain our emails that clearly states from him his authorization to register the report. We understand that certain individuals don't have anything better to do with their time then to file complaints & waste other peoples time. We apologize for any misunderstanding, however Mr [redacted] payment he made to us for the report was reversed on his credit card & he was refunded any money he paid to us. It's clear that we provided to him exactly what he purchased & if anyone should be filing complaints it should be us as we were taken for $300.00. I will not continue to go back & forth with his Revdex.com complaints as we acted professionally.

Review: For new construction in California, a Title 24 energy report is required to obtain a building permit. Only companies who are licensed by the State can provide these reports. Information about the design of the building (a single family home in my case) is input into special designed software which produces minimum requirements related to the energy consumption of the building. This would include insulation required, minimum heater/air conditioning efficiency, window thermal transmission, mandatory inspections, etc., etc.

For whatever reason, different title 24 companies can produce entirely different reports given the exact same building design information. Therefore, it is important to review the report to see if there are concerns that can be addressed before it is submitted to the State. You could even consider seeking an alternative company to perform the analysis. Title 24 Experts provided a draft report for my review (I was told I could not review the final report that was to be submitted to the State prior to submission). When asked if the final report would be identical to the draft report, the response was an unequivocal "yes". The final report contained requirements that were far more onerous than the draft report. When I inquired about the differences, Title 24 Experts stopped responding to my emails and he ([redacted]) even said that his phone was not working so don't call.

Their practices are dishonest and unethical. I have every email on the subject which supports what I have written here.Desired Settlement: I asked for the report to be amended but received no response. If they are unable to amend the report to my satisfaction, then I would like the report to be withdrawn from the State and my money ($300) to be refunded in full.
