Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/17) */
I will contact the store to see why it took 6 weeks to get the jersey crested. Putting a name and number on a jersey does make it a special order, which is not returnable.

Thank you. The store should specify that a crested jersey is considered a special order specially since the cashier had told me there should not be any problem at returning it which means even the employees are not aware that it is considered a special order and the cashier made sense because it is a [redacted].They should advise the customers on purchase.

Enclosed please find our check in the amount of $65.67, which represents the refund of monies paid for the repair made to your GE microwave, less our $59.00 service call fee.  It has been one week since we made you aware that a refund would be...

issued.  Due to the nature of our business there is a process that must be followed, and refunds cannot be issued immediately.  It typically takes 2-4 weeks.             I am sorry that our technician was unable to return as scheduled on Friday, March 25, 2016.  As you were made aware, he suffered an injury to his lower arm earlier in the week and was forced to seek medical treatment for an infection.  On the morning of your appointment, your technician had been to the office and the parts supplier when he received a call from his physician asking him to return to the doctor’s office immediately.  Based on lab work from the previous day, it was determined that he had been bitten by a spider while repairing a customer’s washing machine earlier in the week.  He now has a hole in his arm due to the removal of damaged tissue.  He has been placed on light duty by his physician and faces a lengthy period of healing.  I have included these details so that you might better understand the serious nature of his injury, and why your original tech could not return as scheduled.           Our technician was out originally on March 1, 2016.  He replaced a thermostat, which is sometimes referred to as a thermal fuse.  Approximately three weeks later, on March 22, 2016, you called the office to let us know that the microwave was again not working properly.  Your microwave has two thermostats.  Based on the information at hand, the technician believed that the second thermostat had failed.  He also was concerned that the magnetron may be an issue.  He had, however, picked up the last thermostat for your model that was available at the local parts warehouse that day.  We Ms. [redacted] did not learn this information until the technician had left the doctor’s office.  Because you were so upset when our office contacted you to reschedule, and the original tech was unavailable at the time, they contacted our other microwave technician.  He had a full schedule but was going to try and work you in.  Again, as the original tech had picked up the last available thermostat for your unit (information which we did not have at the time), the office and the second technician wanted only to make you aware that there was a chance that no repairs could be made that same day.  It was their intention to bring any necessary parts with them if at all possible, hoping that they could repair your machine in that one additional trip           Your request to have the parts sent via overnight mail could not be fulfilled due to the following reasons:  1) It was a holiday weekend (Good Friday and Easter) and they would not have arrived until Monday or Tuesday; 2) The cost to ship the thermostat would have been at least 2 ½ times the cost of the part; 3) As previously stated, your microwave has two thermostats, as well as at least one other fuse that may or may not have been causing your issues.  It was necessary to have a technician out to re-examine the unit in order to make the proper repair.  Having parts shipped overnight prior to re-examination would have been costly and irresponsible.           As the repair to your microwave would have required it to be unmounted and partially disassembled, it was impossible for your original technician to complete the repair.  Due to his full work load for the day and the volatile situation at hand, our other technician was unable to work you into his schedule.  I am sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced.  It is certainly our intention to stand behind our work.  However, due to the extreme nature of your discontent, shouting, use of profane language, and the inability of our two staff members, office manager, and technician, to satisfactorily address your concerns in their attempts to explain the situation to you, it was determined that a refund would be best for all concerned.    Respectfully,                               [redacted] Aable Appliance Service cc:  Revdex.com Enclosure
