My husband and I signed a 1 year contract with title boxing and paid in full at the beginning of the year. After our 1 yr contract ended we were charged monthly. We requested to see the contract and to cancel. The contract we were sent had nothing about continuing to be charged after our 1 yr ended. In fact it had a cancellation date of 1 yr after we signed and said that we had paid in full.We then attempted to cancel via phone which the website says is a valid way to cancel. We were also told that nothing would be refunded. We were told later that we had to come in and sign a piece of paper to cancel but that this was waived for us. We received an email confirming that we canceled. This was 2 months ago and we are still being charged despite confirmation that we canceled our membership.
In February of 2016 we purchased TITLE Boxing Club Arden Hills from Previous owners Ross & Marnie ***. We did not sign this member up.
What they were told (stating they were given a copy of their contract that states the membership ends and does not auto continue) and what correct policy is 2 very different things.
Our policy has been very clear since we took ownership. All memberships do in fact roll over to month to month payments, and the required cancellation is very clear - "If you wish to cancel your membership after your expiration date, you must submit in writing 30 day written NOTICE TO CANCEL. You can email this request to [email protected], or mail it to our mailing address, or drop it off at our front desk. You will then be notified of your cancellation.
Notice of satisfaction of complaint:
With this member we did in fact refund 2 months of payments once we found out they did request a refund. They have now since continued to bash our business by going on social media and stating false statements about our coaching staff.
Please remove this complaint - for reasons they have been refunded as requested,and they are no longer a member! And they are not welcome to come back!
