Dear Representative Revdex.com:I am writing in reference to complaint ID ***.We sold a Subaru Bato *** ** *** on November 20, She was informed before the sale that she was more than welcome to take the vehicle to her mechanic and have it checked over prior to
purchasingWe do not have a mechanic on site; we send all of our vehicles to local mechanics for inspections and any repairs that are required before a saleShe was also informed prior to the sale that this vehicle was being sold "As Is" because the mileage of at the time of sale was over what we cover on our in house warranty coverageWe told Miss *** to take her time and drive the vehicle and check it over as much as she wantedShe chose not to take it to her mechanic and purchased the vehicle after checking it over and driving it herself. We never received any complaints or had any contact from her after the sale until July 30,? At that time we received an email stating she had to do repairs and was upset about the cost and frequency of some of the repairsShe never asked for help or for anyone to contact herShe just made it very clear she would never purchase a vehicle from us againIf Miss *** had contacted us at the time she had the original issue we may have been able to assist her even though we sold the vehicle with no warranty. This vehicle went through an inspection in October therefore it would have been checked over for anything inspection relatedIt had brake work done front and rear, exhaust work and a few other itemsWe trust our mechanics and they would not endanger their business to pass a vehicle that should not have a sticker put on itThe head gasket is not an inspection item, it did not have any issues before the sale, and we would not have serviced it unless we noticed a problem. We feel that we do a good job of putting out a quality vehicle for the priceWe cannot bring a vehicle back to new condition, it is still a used vehicle, and will need repair work donePlease contact us if you have any further questions,Sincerely,Carl ** M***, President Titusville Motor Company, inc

Review: I had purchased a 2003 Subaru Baja from Titusville Motor Company only a year ago. They claimed the car blue booked for 8,000 and were selling a good deal at 5,000. I accepted the offer, took the loan. Within a month of owning the car it broke down twice. First repair costing me around $500 for water pump, timing belt, serpentine belt and such. The second repair was way worse - blown headgasket that WAS blown at time of purchase, but was covered up as so no one would notice. (A pan to catch fluid, temporary seal to try and hold off the damage, etc). That set me back over $1,000. This wasn't everything. Over the course of this last year, a total of around $3,000 in repairs have been made from strut replacements to ball joints and so on. I was also told the tires on the car were great tread, and all year around. Turns out - they are only winter tires, and driving them during nicer seasons have caused tire cupping, bad wear, and a horrible wheel alignment.

The car is due for inspection this month (October '15) and upon taking it to a local shop, I discovered it will NOT pass. The entire bottom of the vehicle had been rusting out, and the rear end is rotting and can fall out at any moment. The repair of JUST the frame/body work alone is another $600, plus additional repair costs for other matters. The mechanic who currently works on my vehicle knows the car well - He was actually going to purchase this car from Titusville Motor Company, but informed them there is too much wrong with the vehicle and it cannot be sold in its condition and did not purchase.... However, they kept the vehicle for sale, did not fix a thing, and it was priced WELL ABOVE what it is worth.

I am aware I bought it used, "as is," but what angers me the most is their lies. Their claim the car fit the condition of "good/excellent" and yet it was barely passable as anything. Now I am currently out of a vehicle (and I work two jobs that I require a car for) and I still owe around $4,500 on it. There is no way I can trade this car in. It was NEVER worth what I paid for it, let alone now trying to get rid of it. I am NOT the first person and won't be the last, that have had serious issues and have gotten screwed over by this company. They should NOT be allowed to service vehicles when they have no clue what they are doing. They are liars, and every attempt I've made to contact them about this when it first started happening almost a year ago they have turned down.Desired Settlement: I doubt there is anything anyone can do. I am sure I will get told I bought it - my problem, but to handle a matter like this in such a way would be injustice to anyone who gets screwed over. Vehicles are often costly, require common sense maintenance, and issues can arise even with new cars. However, there is NO reason ANY business should be allowed to do this to consumers. I got a second job to strictly pay on this ridiculous money pit car that I was falsely brought into confidence buying. It did NOT book for 8,000 on blue book. It would barely touch 2,000. When repair costs equal to the amount of cost of the vehicle in such a short period of time - Something needs to be done. I can't afford their false claims, and now without a vehicle, I am at risk of losing my jobs, home, everything. They need to be made aware of their garbage.
