plastic gear was worn. Installed new gear-road tested was working when customer picked up his vehicle.Customer stated after driving a while speedodometer stopped working again. I ordered 2nd gear for customer; however he did not return till one year when next inspection was due. After having the part for 11 months I could not find the part to put in on.I called the transmission shop for a replacement which in turn they told me if the gear wore out that quick that it was an internal additional gear that would have to be replaced, The transmission would have to be removed and disassembled. Customer stated that he didn't want to put any more money into the vehicle and believed he stated that he lost his job.I offered to return his money for transmission repair. He insisted that he already paid to have it fixed and wanted it fixed. He was charged under $100.00 for external gear replacement which in turn can not take out transmission and disasemble and replace internal speedometer gear without charging an additional $400.00.Customer stated that my employee broke his radio. Employee did road test for inspection and either turned radio off or on. Then customer yelled at him and told him not to touch the radio as the automatic antenna has an on going problem.Customer returned for another annual inspection and said the front breaks were pulling which replaced on the 1st inspection. Road tested vehicle-did not find a problem.I replaced gas tank when I did 1st inspection 4 or 5 years ago. Customer stated it started leaking fuel within the last year. Each year the customer came back for an annual inspection his vehicle was checked. He reported he developed a transmission leak. Each year he came for an inspection he would not leave the vehicle said he was in a hurry would not let me check vehicle for the issues he was reporting he just wanted an inspection and stated he did not want to put any more money into the vehicle as he did not use it just kept in the his garage for sentimental reasons,I believe the last time he came to the garage was the beginning of 2015 demanding his full $2000.00 which included many repairs which were completed on the 1st inspection. He also stated that everyone he sees he tells them I am a "rip off." That is when told him to look up the word deformation of character. This is what he percieved as a threat. If I or any other repairshop were as bad as the accusations he made, there would be alot more complaints on file at your office. I run an honest repairshop and repair all customers vehicles in a professional manner.
