Our condo association hired T J Davis Building Contractor to replace worn shingles with new. Since the job was completed, shingles continue to fall from the building, although we haven't had a major storm since they were installed. I've called numerous times to have the problem resolved, but to no avail. The contractor refuses to return my calls. We paid over $4000.00 for the job, and can't get [redacted] to stand up for his shoddy work/inferior product. I wouldn't hire him to build a dog house. Beware, this guy forgets you as soon as he's paid. Find a more reputable contractor!Desired SettlementIf the shingles are defective, replace them with a good quality product. If they were improperly installed, reinstall them in a proper manner.Business Response This is only notice we have received. We have never received the complaint. We paid this contractor $450 for the installation of a vapor barrier beneath our home, and discovered later that the work was not fully completed.As part of a larger renovation project, we paid contractor T.J. Davis $450 for the installation of a vapor barrier beneath our home. He billed us for this work on Dec. 9, and we paid via check on Dec. 17. In January, we discovered that only a portion of the vapor barrier has been installed. We emailed Mr. Davis on Jan. 8 to ask for the completion of this work. He replied to our email with the following response: "I am very sorry that the work did not get done properly. The company that did the work has always been very reliable. I will ensure that this gets taken care of as soon as possible. As soon as we have it scheduled, we will let you know what day next week to expect them. Once completed I will double check the work." To date we have heard nothing further about the completion of this work. We emailed Mr. Davis again on Feb. 14 (5 weeks later) and he has not responded to our email, nor has the work been completed. We want this work completed ASAP or we want our $450 immediately refunded.Desired SettlementWe want this work completed immediately or we want a refund of $450 from Mr. Davis.Business Response It is scheduled to be complete March 10th. Consumer Response It is March 11, and this work has not yet been completed.Final Business Response Per owner of [redacted] the job was completed March 11, 2015. TJ Davis the General Contractor is going by today to verify this job is completed.
