Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below "But keeping it to the facts." Fact: My car was returned to me faulty after original repairsRemember the door alarm, the windshield wipers, and the power windows? neither of those things had problems until after it was repaired at TJ's AutoThis was confirmed by my mechanic that the jumper wires found throughout the car were causing these issuesI was told rather insistently by TJ's Auto that those problems were caused by the after***et radio when I picked it up."TJ’s auto had offered to investigate the issueThe opportunity to investigate the issues after the faulty part was installed was denied." An outright lieRemember, I had the car towed back to TJ's Auto as soon as I could for them to investigate the issueWhich is when they decided that the starter was the issueEven after I reminded them about the door alarm, and had asked how that would cause the door alarm to go off, I was told the mechanics would look into it furtherKeep in mind I never was once able to speak to an actual mechanic, rather, a salesmanSeveral days later, I called in to check in if other issues were foundI was told "nope, still the starter"Believing that a proper diagnosis had been done, I had my car towed away to have it repaired in the way TJ's Auto recommended."...even after the opportunity to replace it at no cost was taken away." To repeat, this opportunity was given when I towed the car back a second time. The allegation that TJ's Auto believes I "stole" their opportunity to do right is laughableI paid to have my car towed there out of my own pocket for them to get another chanceIt was left in their posession for business daysPlenty of time to investigate all the issuesThere is nothing else I as a customer could have done to give them a fair chance."In the same way that installing a bad light bulb on the drivers’ side, doesn’t warranty the light bulb on the passenger sideThese were not related issues and cannot be assumed as such." This is a Straw Man argument, and does not applySee the first paragraph about the issues that appeared the day I picked up my carThis a case of causation, not correlation Regards, [redacted] ***

"At this point we asked if we should proceed to diagnose the issue, as we needed the car running to further diagnose"I was not given the option to have a more thorough diagnosis, rather I was told that the starter was the issue, And when questioning whether the other issues the vehicle was having, I was told they would be looked intoI then called back a couple days later and was told that the starter was the only issue found, and was ready to be towed back to my usual mechanicI had assumed that a more thorough inspection had occurredI would also like to highly stress that another jumper wire was found on the ignition switch, which would not have been attached to the fuse block when installed

If there were issues with the car the day it was picked upTJ’s Auto would have heard about it that dayNot business days later. When the car was returned to us the following week, we started to look into issues to see if it was a faulty fuse block or other non-related issues at no charge to the customerThe car would not start at that timeThe option was offered to the customer to have the shop that installed the starter look at the starter as a possibility or for us to keep going forward with itAs the car needed to be running to further diagnoseThe customer chose to have it towed to the other shop to eliminate the starter as a possibilityNo further diagnostics had been done at that point by TJ’s Auto. TJ’s Auto did not and would not have taken the time to install any jumper wires of any sortThis is not what we do here at TJ’s autoThe only free work we would do is related to diagnosing a potentially bad partThe customer is claiming that we put hours of time into installing jumper wires of sorts and did not charge him for it? We bill out every minute of our technicians timeThat is proof enoughOur shop is far too busy to give away free time in temporary fixes of any sort. TJ’s Auto is simply doing as anyone wouldTaking a stance and not accepting responsibility for work we did not doWe offered to replace the fuse block (the only work we had done) if that was an issue at no costAnd even after was all said and doneWe still have offered to refund the price of that part if it was believed to be faultyAt this point one might assume that the fuse block installed worked as it shouldBut all the previously installed jumper wires to make things still work in the past, now created an issue with a fully functional fuse block. This claim cannot continueIt is taking up valuable time and resources of both parties and the Revdex.comThe facts have been stated over and over again

On or about the 8th of January 2018, *** ***, had his car towed here to TJ’s Auto & Collision Center, after being referred to us by his usual mechanic who believed he was having some sort of security module problemWe diagnosed the issue to be a poor communication with a module that is
integrated into the fuse block under the hoodWe quoted *** with an option for a used fuse block from a salvage yard. As with all electrical installations, this comes with no guarantee that this is the only issue, and there is no way to know if it will work, until after it’s installedHe agreed with this option and to proceed with the repair. The used fuse block was installed, and the vehicle ran with no issues during test times*** picked up his car on 01/12/and paid for the servicesDuring that time we brought it to ***s attention that the radio was not correctly installed and may possibly cause some issues, as well as mentioning a few other minor problems that the mechanic noticed during installation. We were not notified of any issues that *** stated occurred shortly after he picked up the vehicle. *** contacted us the following week to state that his car wouldn’t start againWe offered to look at it to see if it was related to the work we had just done*** had it towed here the following dayWhen attempting to diagnose the issue, we could not get the car started, even after charging the battery and attempting to jump start itWhen speaking with *** over the phone, he had mentioned that he had recently had a starter install by his usual mechanicAt this point we asked if we should proceed to diagnose the issue, as we needed the car running to further diagnose. *** preferred to have the mechanic that installed the starter to look into it, and sent a tow truck within a few days to pick up the vehicle. It wasn’t until the 16th of February 2018, when *** came in, in person and tossed a bill from his usual mechanic on my desk and stated that this was the bill for all the work the other mechanic did to his car and expected us to pay for itAt this point it had been a month since we had heard from ***, and was never informed of any future problems with the vehicleWe stated that is unusual and that we had not done any alterations internally to the fuse block during installation, but offered a refund on the used part of $91.00. At this time, a refund of $is still fair, as TJ’S Auto was not notified and given the opportunity to correct any issues after *** had it towed away to investigate the starter. Sincerely, *** ***
