Dear Ms [redacted] , In response to Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] regarding [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] On February 19, 2014, we went to Ms [redacted] ’s residence to unclog a drain with the Spartan This machine goes 75’, we use this machine successfully in 90% of the homes we work inWhen we left, the drain was flowing Seventeen days later, March 5th, Ms [redacted] called, claiming that the drains were doing the same thingUpon arrival we found nothing backing upHer concerns were: the toilet was gurgling and the bathtub was backing upWe did not witness thatIt was our observation that the drains seemed to be flowing fine We went to Ms [redacted] 's at no charge to address her concerns, we offered to run the Spartan machine for 1/of the quoted price of $Ms [redacted] refusedAt that time, in the name of customer service and because we did have the equipment with us, we re-offered to run the Spartan for a flat fee of $Again she refused We attempted to explain to Ms [redacted] that the Spartan is an expensive, special machine this machine will go 150’, it is expensive to maintain and operate and we have to charge a premium priceIt is our standard procedure is to run the Spartan 300, a machine that we typically carry on our trucks firstIf we cannot get the clog with the Spartan and have to resort to the Spartan (which we would have to go to our shop to pick up) there is an additional cost to run this machineSince we had the drains flowing on the 19th, there was no obvious need to retrieve and run the larger machine at an additional cost to the customer In conclusion, the drains were running when we left on February 19th We pulled out hair, dryer sheets and miscellaneous debrisAs stated on the invoice, there is no guarantee on drain cleaning because we have no control on what the customer puts down the drainWhen we were called back, on March 5th we did not find any drains backing up, but we did offer to run the larger machine at a discounted price in the name of customer service which she declined We feel that we addressed Ms [redacted] 's concerns to the best of our abilityWe would appreciate anything that you could do to bring this issue to an amiable conclusion Sincerely, [redacted] TJ’s Plumbing & Heating, Inc [redacted]

Sorry for the delay as we only recently received the complaint regarding Mr*** on *** *** *** ** *** *** **
Mr*** has a legitimate complaint and it really comes from both sides in the form of poor communicationOur plumbers who are not Junior Plumbers came over to assess and diagnose Mr*** concerns on his outdoor boiler systemUnfortunately at the time Mr*** could not give us any details as to the make or model of the product so we were not able to stock the van with anything for the job at the time
The diagnostics revealed three broken frozen waterlines, plastic piping from under the grade frozen
In the meanwhile we cut out all the broken copper and could not do anything more until it thawed
We were in communication with Mr*** and he questioned the cost and we told him that when it thaws we could address cost concerns at that time
Mr*** said that Tuesdays or Thursdays are good for him and we scheduled tentatively for Tuesday knowing that Thursday would work also
As we thought might happen, we couldn't make it on Tuesday and when we called back to confirm Thursday he said he had another company on the way
The other company was able to address what we were going to fix because the lines thawed
We expressed to him that we would like to come out, assess our work and hear out Mr*** to negotiate with him if necessary
We have since come to an agreement with Mr*** and we both agreed to the confusion of the schedulingMr*** will rescind his complaint with us both agreeing that it was a simple mix-up
