Good afternoon, First and foremost, if I have not already, I would like to apologize to the gentleman. However, on several occasions he has described literally all symptoms for ingrown hair bumps, which are listed on every medical sites as well as my Miladys text book for barbering. There is no way for me to prevent an ingrown hair other than not cutting the hair completely bald. Ingrown hair is not an issue of sanitation. I am willing to provide the gentleman with a free service or pay for him to receive the service from a different barber in the shop. I will not refund him because my services were not flawed or unsanitary in anyway.

I am rejecting this response because:Ingrown hairs bumps are not red, white and itch I also have had two barber's and a doctor tell me I was cut by unsanitary clippers or razor, As I have had my hair cut many times low and never ever received any type of scratches or bumps till my visit at TKO BarbershopA refund is redundant to the service I received here, as I just want these barber's to make sure they clean their items the proper wayI don't believe a doctor and two barber's will lie about the type of bumps that I received in my hair from this barber, But I do believe in one will lie to protect themselves as I never complained about a haircut in my lifeThis is out of my boundaries to go this far but I know for a fact the bumps I received in my head was more than just ingrown hair bumps because the bumps was white and crusty and has token about weeks to disappearPlease use better judgement and clean your items! As I sat down in the chair he didn't clean themAs every Barber does it ran through my mind was they clean but I thought to myself this a PROFESSIONAL BARBER course he cleaned him couple days later my head shows the result he didn't!

Good afternoon Miriam, I am a licensed barber at the TKO Barbershop. We receive a letter today in the mail in regards to a patron who returned to the shop with a concern for the bumps on the back of his head. know this because as a licensed barber in the state of California, one is required to attend 1600 hours of schooling and take a state board test. All which is based upon conducting safe and sanitary services. I am required to know all infections and diseases of the skin so that I know how to approach a situation if a client has an issue. As far as this particular patron, he is an African-American male, as am I. That being said I have never used a razor on the back of any African American male unless that person is receiving an entire straight razor head shave. This decision was made by me long ago because of the way our hair grows. Curly hair very easily results into ingrown hairs if cut below the skin. Which my clippers may have cut the gentlemans hair too short and resulted in him getting ingrown hair. I will not agree to a refund with this gentleman due to his dishonesty. I pride myself on the quality of my services and would never used unsanitary tools on anyone being that I cut my own childrens hair in the shop as well.    Thank you
