Thank you for contacting us regarding this...

serious matter and for allowing us the opportunity to explain our position regarding [redacted]’s purchases.
Per your request, we are sending this reply via email.

Both the Door Button Bezels and the Door Lock Covers are custom parts that have to be manufactured before we apply a finish to it.
There was a delay getting the parts made. However for [redacted]’s inconvenience we only charged him $141.95 for both items which even included shipping. Not the $202 he states as the disputed amount.
*An attachment with a copy of the charge slip is supplied for proof for you to review. It is sent separate for your eyes & the eyes of the customer only since it might reveal confidential merchant info/numbers).

The parts were shipped 5/**/13 and received 6/*/13. Not the 8/*/13 date the customer states in the complaint.
*The tracking number is supplied to prove this.  Its’ on the same attachment with the receipt. This was also sent separate and for your eyes and the customers eyes only since it might reveal the customers home address.

On July[redacted] (approx 1 month after he received the parts) [redacted] emailed us  via email,  complaining that the door button bezels were defective.  His email states:
“ [redacted]”

Our first thought was, if they were defective, why not call as soon as he received them. Why did he wait approximately 1 month to contact us & complain?
Since nothing would ever ship in that condition from here, we asked [redacted] for the parts to be returned for inspection.
Upon inspection, you can clearly see that these were damage by either him, or possibly another party who installed them. He did state in his email (above), that someone else installed them.
They were bent and the finish was NOT peeling which is what he stated in his email to us. It looks as though someone installing them dripped glue (which is used to install) on them.

Did you mail these door button bezels back or did you have the party who was installing them send them?  I'm asking because I wanted to know if you actually seen them before they were put into the envelope and shipped back.
The finish is not peeling. Peeling would have the finish coming off, releasing from the inside out. This is not the case. You can clearly see that there was something placed, dripped or dabbed on top of the clear which caused a reaction. Even though this would be no fault of ours, I would have still worked something out with you to get these re done. However, whats worse is that both pieces are bent & dented. This is why the hole (where the round button would fit through) seems too small. Its because its distorted (not perfectly round any more) from being crushed and pried on . You can also see a scratch mark by the dented area where the installer used a tool to pry on these parts.
To make matters worse, one of the bezels has a large slice/ hole cut through it!  They obviously did not look like this when we originally sent them to you.
Unfortunately Both of these bezels are ruined.
We can make new ones for you but we would be starting from scratch. This would take approx  3-4 weeks. So if your willing to wait a bit and to pay to have a new set made, I'll start right away for you.  But as stated we really can't do anything with the ones you sent. They are now trash. .
Thank you”

*We have attached a picture of the pieces for you to review.
You can clearly see the part returned by [redacted] has been mangled.
They are made of Aluminum. So it did not warp because of glue..etc These were deformed by human abuse.
In our email to to [redacted] we advised him we would made another set however he would have to pay to have them made.

On January * 2014,  [redacted] contact us via email, now complaining about the Door lock panels “bubbling”
The pictures he sent show the piece NOT bubbling but some what distorted from possibly using aggressive glue. To us it seems he ignored the instructions and glued the piece into placed. The instructions clearly state to NOT use glue. Unlike the door bezels which are aluminum) these parts are made of plastic and certain glues can eat through or distort the plastic.
Beside the instructions, it also states right on the our website, “Easily apply with either clear silicone or very thin double sided tape only.”
*Attached is the picture for proof for you to review.

We have sold hundreds of these parts to hundreds of satisfied customers. We have no problem taking care of customers but we can’t loose money because someone does not follow directions or allows someone else to install items incorrectly.

Once again I thank you for reaching out to us.  Please see the other attachments with all the proof to back up our statements. If you have any questions, always feel free to contact us .

"The door button bezels were shipped back because they were never installed - They also said that they did receive them so I can not send something back that they already have - The reason a month went by because we had no reason to open the box they came in until they were ready to be installed - This is not resolved "
Our Response:
The customers ([redacted]) response seems as if he did not even read our original rebuttal.
We are not looking for him to send anything back. It is understood there is nothing to send. He did sent the door buttons back only after he (or who ever installed them) damaged them.
This is clearly stated in our rebuttal to the Revdex.com
We originally addressed all of this via email to the customer back on July ** (which he received). We also explained that we would make them again for him but he would have to pay since he ruined the first pair (No attempt by the customer was made to pay to have these made again).
This same email was submitted in as part of our rebuttal to the Revdex.com.
Our rebuttal also included pictures of the damaged pieces to be examined.
We also included an email from the customer from July [redacted] that states he had someone else working on his car.
We are not responsible for damage done by the customer or a 3rd party for improperly installing our parts.
The customers response to our rebuttal to the Revdex.com regarding the time lapse (he waiting approx. a month to contact us an complain) was "no reason to open the box until they were ready to be installed,.."
If that's the case, in the customers original complaint to the Revdex.com, he mentioned he waited 3 months for the parts.
In our original reply to the Revdex.com, we too mentioned that there was a delay with getting these parts out. The customer was upset so for his inconvenience we gave him a discount on the parts (All listed in our original rebuttal to the Revdex.com).
If he had another month to waste before putting them on, why was he upset with the delay..? Why did we discount him?
We feel the 3rd party (customers installer) damaged the parts when installing them on the car. Then when the customer went to pick up the car (approx. a month later ) from his installer, it was then he noticed what was done.
We submitted proof that the parts were shipped and DELIVERED 6/*. We also submitted the email from the customer from 7/* that clearly states he went to pick up his car from a 3rd party on 7/* (approx. 1 month later).
We have sent overwhelming proof to disprove the customer complaint and that he is at fault. Within this proof you will also see that at that time we had tried to take care of the customer. But we can not loose money time and time again in the process.
Thank you
