As stated in my original complaint, his work is a mess To be more clear, it is unfinished and has caused more problems than I had before the project The pictures he showed do not show how he left the actual ground after digging the propertyNor do they show the incomplete project or the pipe he broke He did not bother to visit the property to see the problems nor did he return to fix the yard that his equipment destroyed as promised. Tommy L*** is completely responsible for the problems that occurred from his workmanship. He claims to be a professional and drafted a contract with his recommended solution for the problem, keeping any water coming off of the hillside out of the house. There is absolutely NO mold in my basement He has never been in my basement and that statement is untrue. Tommy never told me there was a spring on the hillside Another untrue statement But if he did notice the spring, he certainly shouldn't be attempting to 'capture' water His plan should have been to divert it away from the house, not into the house or onto the neighbor's property. There have been multiple contractors on the property recently and their advice about what needs to be done to fix the problem is that the job was left unfinished and caused other damage that could have easily been avoided if he would have been experienced in this type of work The drain pipe should have been run to the road and I should have never been advised to install a 'trench' beside the house to collect water from a hillside, especially if there was a spring in the yardAgain, Tommy presented himself as the professional making the recommendationHe also assured me that the drain he installed would keep the water from the hillside out of my basement It is now coming into the side of the house and into my neighbor's property There is a sinkhole in the center of the trench The earth has to be dug up again in order to tie the broken pipe into the system That certainly should have been done at the time of the project, instead Tommy chose to hide the pipe he broke under debris and hay A good, honest professional, would never break a pipe and leave it for the owner to deal with He would immediately respond to a problem and have a solid plan for resolution I am now being told that the hillside which was dug by Tommy is dug too close to a 80-foot tree that will now need removed This is very poor workmanship and I strongly believe he was inexperienced in this particular skill and should have never agreed to take on a project of this nature As far as contacting an attorney, there is no reason for him to contact an attorney to file a lawsuit against me I did nothing to him

Dear Revdex.com I am writing in response to the letter which was received from the owner of TL Construction. There was shift in the home after the work was performed. There are cracks in every wall in the home. As well as the large crack in the foundation. The deck was removed from the back of the house to perform the install of french drains. I advised Mr. L[redacted] that it would need replaced as it is a main entry and exit point of the home. I gave him a check for $2,000.00 for wood in march which he claimed would be purchased then and placed into a heated trailer to prevent further weathering of the wood prior to installation of the deck.  I had sent Mr. L[redacted] multiple pictures and videos of water flowing in my basement after said french drains were installed. If he ever replied he would state he would send someone up. And multiple times he was asked what day, what time, etc??? He eventually stopped replying to all messages and never returned voice mails. When the company was here working I had to call or text the brother of the company to see if they were coming to work today and what time almost every day. The zip ties the company had used to secure the sump pump and pipes together had come off and the pump was left spinning in the barrel for almost two weeks while water back flowed into the basement of my home. Family had come and taken the lid off the barrel and positioned sump pump to remove water from the barrel. My father in law advised Mr L[redacted] that he thought someone had fixed it. However it had not been repaired. It was only that the problem was found and still they neglected to come fix the problem after multiple attempts to contact Mr. L[redacted] about said issue. Mr. L[redacted] insurance company was contacted by myself to file claim for the shift of the house. Cracks in the interior walls and basement wall. Multiple pictures of while TL Construction was doing the work was sent to the company certified return receipt. Also pictures of wall that had caved in again from the clay back fill that was used when the home had to be redone for drains again. The only thing I am asking is that other people whom think about using this company be able to have some information on previous work that the company has poorly done. Sincerly, [redacted]

Dear Revdex.comHi, my name is Tommy L[redacted]. I am owner and operator of TL Construction. I Received a complaint from you regarding [redacted] who filed a complaint with you and here is the id #[redacted]. I met with Mrs. [redacted] because she was having a water issue where water was leaking...

in basement and the moisture was causing mold, I gave Mrs. [redacted] an estimate and we agreed on install French drains around the back side of house and the right side of house with a small section on the left side as stated in contract. We dug both sides and after it was dug we found the back side to be in horrible condition as it was failing in and it was never hit with excavator. As we looked there was another wall built behind that as the structural wall so there was never no shift in her house and I also contacted the previous owner to confirm that and he stated that the old wall was falling in and they had to build a new wall as support. We repaired the wall that was falling in. we coated walls and covered wall as per code. We installed pipe and backfilled under and over pipe as seen in photos. We then backfilled with clay which keeps the water from penetrating the foundation. As for a crack in the foundation we sealed the inside with two coats of dry lock. Mrs. [redacted] was getting a little water in another spot of here house where I was not contracted to fix but we went ahead and installed asphalt to prevent water from getting in. Mrs. [redacted] don't state on your letter that she had a deck in the back that was in bad shape and we were to reinstall it, but I told her that I would build her a new one for $1000.00. Material for that deck was $1600.00 and labor was $860.00 so I took a big loss buy trying to help her out. Mrs. [redacted] never sent me any pictures or never called me the only thing she did was tell me through text was that a zip tie on her sump pump broke and I told her I would send someone to fix it. The next day here father in law stopped at my house and told me that she had someone fix it and there was no problem. Mrs. [redacted] contacted my insurance without contacting me to look at this and the insurance is going to deny her a claim. I will provide the Revdex.com with photos and contract. I will also give the Revdex.com the previous owner info and my insurance company's lawyers number at request. I'm asking the Revdex.com to dismiss this case as TL Construction did everything properly. Thank you

Dear Revdex.comHi, my name is Tommy L[redacted]. I am owner and operator of TL Construction. I Received a complaint from you regarding [redacted] who filed a complaint with you and here is the id #[redacted].I met with [redacted] back in November 2016 because she was having a water issue where...

water was leaking in basement and causing mold. After looking at the property there is an open porch at ground level that was all rotted where water had damaged the floor and a French drain could not go in next to her foundation cause of the porch being in the way. I see where there was an old drain that was installed back by the hillside but it was only 4 inches underground instead of 2 feet, I decided that if I installed a new French drain at the proper depth by the hillside it would stop most of the water that comes off the hillside as I suspected a underground spring above the hill and I gave [redacted] an estimate and she wanted to do the work so she signed the contract. I Graded back the hillside so that it was not as steep as before I started the project. I dug my trench longer then so the drain could capture more water and that's all I was contracted to do. I lined the trench with tar paper and installed 6 inches of gravel (as per Code). I install perforated pipe in that trench and even lined the outside of pipe with pre-sock filter and backfilled with gravel (as per code). On the other side of house, I used solid pipe to exit all water from the French drain Passed the house so there is without a doubt we didn't contribute to any of her water issues on that side of house. MS [redacted] knew that she needs french drains all the way around her house and that was going to be the plan as she wanted me to tear off porch and put on an enclosed porch eventually down the road once she had here finance and we would be able to put in french drains all the way around her house. As for the grading of hillside I used my excavator to peel it back and I smoothed it out with my bobcat at best as I could. The hillside was a mess before I even started that's why we peeled it back. As for the driveway, we did not install any french drains there and all we did was storeadvised I have hired an attorney for this matter and I'm in the process of suing MS [redacted] for reasons I can't specify in this letter as I was advised not to by my lawyer. This Matter could be settled for $200.00

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As stated in my original complaint, his work is a mess.  To be more clear, it is unfinished and has caused more problems than I had before the project.  The pictures he showed do not show how he left the actual ground after digging the property. Nor do they show the incomplete project or the pipe he broke.  He did not bother to visit the property to see the problems nor did he return to fix the yard that his equipment destroyed as promised.  Tommy L[redacted] is completely responsible for the problems that occurred from his workmanship.  He claims to be a professional and drafted a contract with his recommended solution for the problem, keeping any water coming off of the hillside out of the house.  There is absolutely NO mold in my basement.  He has never been in my basement and that statement is untrue.  Tommy never told me there was a spring on the hillside.  Another untrue statement.  But if he did notice the spring, he certainly shouldn't be attempting to 'capture' water.  His plan should have been to divert it away from the house, not into the house or onto the neighbor's property. There have been multiple contractors on the property recently and their advice about what needs to be done to fix the problem is that the job was left unfinished and caused other damage that could have easily been avoided if he would have been experienced in this type of work.  The drain pipe should have been run to the road and I should have never been advised to install a 'trench' beside the house to collect water from a hillside, especially if there was a spring in the yard. Again, Tommy presented himself as the professional making the recommendation. He also assured me that the drain he installed would keep the water from the hillside out of my basement.  It is now coming into the side of the house and into my neighbor's property.  There is a sinkhole in the center of the trench.  The earth has to be dug up again in order to tie the broken pipe into the system.  That certainly should have been done at the time of the project, instead Tommy chose to hide the pipe he broke under debris and hay.  A good, honest professional,  would never break a pipe and leave it for the owner to deal with.  He would immediately respond to a problem and have a solid plan for resolution.  I am now being told that the hillside which was dug by Tommy is dug too close to a 80-100 foot tree that will now need removed.  This is very poor workmanship and I strongly believe he was inexperienced in this particular skill and should have never agreed to take on a project of this nature.  As far as contacting an attorney, there is no reason for him to contact an attorney to file a lawsuit against me.  I did nothing to him.
Regards,
[redacted]
