To Whom It May ConcernA-Movers Incprovided Ms*** *** an estimate for the relocation of her goods at a cost of $4,to transport and pack her personal belongings from Superior, WI to San Antonio, TX She had phoned to schedule the free of charge in home estimate at a time of her choosing The salesman was on time for his initial and Ms*** was not at her residence We reached her via phone and rescheduled the in- home estimate at a second time of her choosing She signed and decided the cost was fair and scheduled the relocation for 9/28/ Our crew showed up as scheduled and Ms*** was not at home and unavailable via telephone Crew returned to warehouse and Ms*** was reached that afternoon and we scheduled pickup for the next day 9/29/Crew showed up to home on 9/28/and completed the load Ms*** and A-Movers Incagreed to a transportation window of dates agreeable for delivery of her goods to San Antonio, TXAfter pickup A-Movers tried all means of contacting Ms*** to inform her of the final bill, based on her actual weight of the shipment and the actual services provided Ms*** made no attempts to return A-1's messages and efforts to get in touch with her and left no forwarding address with her prior landlord The goods continued to TX to meet the required dates of delivery agreed to by both Ms*** and A-Movers.Once the truck arrived in Texas 10/through 10/21, Ms*** was still not in contact with A-MoversAt no time did she mention that storage of her goods was required or requestedHowever, since there was no contact made A-upheld its end of the agreed transportation dates and brought the goods to San Antonio, TX A-continued to keep the goods in safe-keeping and placed the goods in Atlas Van Lines Agents Warehouse in San Antonio, TX These goods were to be delivered out after Ms*** contacted A-Movers. Mrs*** contacted A-Movers a month later and we arranged with our San Antonio Agent to deliver the goods as requested Goods were loaded out of storage onto a truck and brought to her residence on the day of her choosingMs*** was not at the residence or available by phone on the scheduled dateTruck returned to warehouse in San Antonio, TX and goods where once again handled and put back into storage.Ms*** was not in touch with Atlas to the following week At that time she was told that payment for the shipment would need to be collected in full for the goods to be reloaded out of storage and delivered She came to the warehouse and paid via money order and the goods were promptly delivered out on 1/18/2015.Several attempts were made by A-Movers to get the goods transported to TX as Ms*** hired our company to do Additional storage and handling costs were applied to her bill to compensate the company for her disregard to the dates delivery dates that were agreed upon End bill with all additional labor for reloading and storage for three months resulted in a total bill of $4,a difference of the estimated charges of $for all of the additional services mentioned above. Please feel free to contact our office at ###-###-#### or [email protected] if there are any questions.Thank You, Chris NyeOperations Manager A-Movers Inc

Revdex.com:I before the movers came in to move anything. I asked for the mover to come out for another estimate because I moved stuff out in a uhaul 2 times before the movers came in to move the house hold goods. I understand they came out February 9 but the estimate should have went down more because I moved house hold goods out a day before the movers came in and started the job. Also the shoes that was wrapped in his jackets was not woman shoes they where men shoes in size 12. When I talked on the phone they did apologize for what happen but they never said what they would do to help the issue. They did not ask what could they do to make it better. Yes they did not let Derek come back the next day but I am the one that make him leave the site because he tried to steal the shoes that was in the box. In a room that all the other shoes was already packed and taped up in the room.  I am asking that the price be lowered for 2 reason one in I moved out more house hold good before the movers same and two for Derek trying to steal my shoes he had wrapped in his coat I had caught him with under his coat. Also when I called and told the what happened they acted as they did not believe what I was saying. I am a military soldier that has moved over four times and never had any issues with other moving companies like this. I have attach the picture of the shoes.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

To Whom It May Concern-My name is [redacted], I am the Operations Manager at A-1 Movers Inc. I have reviewed Mrs. [redacted] complaint and have attached the following documents to support our position. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions on the matter.  To protect our...

customer's information do not publish the included documents for I have not removed any of the names and/or adresses for the interests of addressing this compliant with all information intact. We provided a free in-home estimate to Mrs. [redacted] on 2/9/16.  I have attached this estimate. The summation would be, A1 providing packing material and labor for the packing of 59 ctns and transportation of her goods from her home in Duluth to a storage unit in Duluth. The total amount estimated was $2,943.55. On the bottom of the estimate it states that the customer would be charged for actual material and time it takes to complete the relocation. Therefore, if additional packing was completed by the customer they would be charged less, since A1 would pack less. The job was scheduled to pack and load/deliver on 3/3 and 3/4. Attached you will find the actual billing of the time it took to complete the packing and relocation. I have also attached the actual packing list/packing inventory as requested. As these documents will support, we completed the job as requested on 3/3 and 3/4 and packed 64 units. Which is more units then the amount indicated at the time of the estimate.  As you can see even with additional packing the job was still completed timely and under the estimated amount. The actual bill was $2,833.45 which was under the estimated amount. The additional complaint is over the accusation of an employee trying to hide some of Mrs. [redacted] shoes underneath his coat. I have spoken to the employee and to our Office Manager and A1 has already addressed this complaint at the time of the accused incident to Mrs. [redacted] satisfaction at that time.A 1's Office Manager apologized for the mix up of coat being placed on the floor over a pair of shoes that was to be packed and relocated. To please the customer we also removed the accused employee from the job site and completed the job with the remaining crew. Additionally, his time was removed from Mrs. [redacted] bill resulting in approximately $76.00 of labor provided. All employees are subject to random drug screens and are throughly background checked before their initial hiring.  The employee in question has been an upstanding worker for A1 for the past 2.5 years with no prior accusations of theft. My conversation with him indicated that he had placed his coat on the floor when he entered the room to begin the packing, the room was completed and he went to pack another room. The customer then found the shoes underneath the coat where he had overlooked them when packing the room. The employee was removed from the job for the customer's satisfaction and time credited back for the confusion. It is my hope that this explanation satisfies Mrs [redacted]. I apologize for any confusion and/or frustration that the placement of the coat has caused her. Our employee's have coats that they wear outside and often times, coat racks and chairs are removed from the home during the move resulting in our coats being placed throughout the home several times a day between employees entering and exiting the home to complete the job. The employee has been spoken to about trying to be more aware of his coat placement in the future. He also apologizes for any confusion this has caused.Thank you again and my sincere apology for the confusion this has caused. [redacted]Attch-1
