Transmission has been worked on 5 times since February 2014 and still not fixed. Paid 26000.00 for service and warranty. In February 2014, I took my [redacted] to have the transmission rebuilt, paid 2600.00 for service/parts and 24mth warranty. TLC has worked on it 5 times since February 2014 and it still isnt fixed. [redacted] with TLC Transmission is not honoring the warranty, which there is 18 months left; I sent them a certified letter on Sepetmeber 16, 2014 requesting my money back, to which I paid in February 2014. I have not heard anything back from [redacted] with TLC Transmission, so I'm out 2600.00 and my transmission isnt fixed, therefore I'm unable to drive my vehicle. As a business owner myself it's disappoints me to have receive such dishonorable customer service. I have tried to resolve this issued amongst myself and [redacted] but I have not heard back from him since I mailed the certified letter. Any assistance that you may provide would be greatly appreciated. As I hope to receive my money back in full, since the service/warranty was not honored....as they verbalized and have it displayed on their website.Desired SettlementThe settlement that I am seeking is a full refund of the money I paid in February 2014; which was $ 2600.00.Business Response Mr [redacted] did not bring his truck to us, he actually only brought his transmission that he removed himself to our shop in Feb. for a rebuild. Our warranty states in section A #2 It also, DOES NOT COVER transmission whose engines have been modified to produce more output (horsepower or torque) beyond the original design limit of the transmission. These items include but are not limited to: superchargers, turbo chargers, nitrous oxide, aftermarket fuel injection systems, internal engine modifications or replacement engines that are larger than what came with the vehicle. It also does not cover vehicles that have drivetrain modifications that cause a load on the transmission that exceeds the original design limits. These items include, but not limited to: substantially larger tires or a change in the differential gear ratio (one that is not available as an option with the vehicle). It also does not cover vehicles that exceed the designed gross weight suggested by the manufacturers (i.e., heavy tool chests, boom, etc.) or towing an item that is heavier than the towing limits placed by the manufacturer. Mr. [redacted] has installed a tuner on this vehicle. We have tried working with him on this transmission as much as we could, we asked him to bring us the vehicle and we removed & installed our self and went back through the transmission 2 other times at are expense and we had no problems with the transmission performing like it was supposed to as we did not use the tuner. It would be after he would pick the vehicle up & get anywhere from 50-200 miles on it and use his tuner that the transmission would fail. We explained to him that warranty does not cover this and that if he wants to continue to use his tuner for more horsepower that he would need to get someone that builds performance transmissions for this purpose. That there was nothing that we could do that would withstand that type of added horsepower especially on this type of unit. We regret that we can not satisfy Mr. [redacted], but feel we have done everything possible to try and make him understand that we can not do anymore to the transmission as long as he insist on using the tuner that is installed. It changes what the manufacturer recommends for this transmission. Thank You TLC[redacted]

My [redacted] needed a transmission rebuild or a new transmissions. I paid $2500 cash up front for this to be done in November 2013.It has been over a year and they spent my money and my car is not fixed. They claim it still has no 4th gear and they haven't done the work they claimed to have done. They told me they sent my car to the [redacted] dealership to be worked on and the dealership has no record of my vehicle ever being there. We are getting the run around and he has done this to others as well. Desired SettlementI would like a full refund for lack of repair and having to wait over a year for nothing to be fixed.
