Contractor installed motion detector on house. Motion detector is not working.I hired TLR Electric to purchase and install a motion detector over our garage on 9/10/15. They installed a motion detector (purchased by them) on that date and charged me $275 which I paid by check. It worked initially until the first rain (within a week). I asked them to come out and repair or replace the unit. They came out, checked on the unit and said it was working. Since then, the unit has repeatedly failed to work during and after any rain. I have asked them to come out and repair or replace the unit on at least 3 more occasions. I received an email from TLR Electric on 11/29/15 indicating that he would be in the area the following week and would look at it. They have not been here or contacted me since that date.I do not have any of the details regarding the motion detector since TLR Electric purchased the unit and installed it.Desired SettlementI want them to repair or replace the motion detector that I had them install on our garage.Business Response I have stopped by twice to look at the light. It has worked properly both times. It's hard to fix something that isn't broken. But to resolve this issue I will be more than happy to stop by and take another look and replace the light if needed.I have responded to your emails about this but I have not has another response back. I do apologize for this inconvenience. I will love to make this right.Consumer Response I am only aware that TLR Electric stopped by once to look at the problem and they said it was working. It works when it's dry; whenever it rains, it does not work and it does not work for a day or two thereafter. The motion detector is one they purchased and installed (which I paid for)! It seems to be defective or the fixture was not sealed correctly.By email in November, he said he would come by and fix it. He never did. He has not contacted me since that time.
