I am sorry you feel this way.  We have tried to work with you.  We have already credited you for the items that weren't completed due to you not allowing us to.  I think you would agree we did a good job on the hall bathroom remodel and the driveway replacement.  We did get your...

hall bathroom finished before your New Years party as you wanted and we threw-in the painting for free. On the Master Bathroom, we did have some issues with scheduling and getting materials as fast as you would have liked.  But we did keep you informed.  My lead carpenter’s mother passed away a couple days before we were to start the project, so I pulled someone else off another job to appease you.  The quality of work is definitely not sub-par.  We were not allowed to finish the drywall, or it would have been ready for paint. 1.       [redacted] verbally quoted “about $150 labor plus material” to replace all the subfloor, which we should have gotten in writing immediately so I changed the price to what the customer thought he was quoted.  Why is there still a complaint when we only charged what you thought it should be? 2.       The 2 pieces of tile were replaced.   We waited for other material that was coming to make the best use of your / our time.  As for the tile charge – If you read the contract you signed, the $700 charge is to remove existing tile & sub-base (which was a mortar bed), install new concrete board and furnish and install new 12”x12” tile.  The $99 for the other bathroom was the tile material only. 3.       Yes, a Onyx panel was cracked unfortunately (the first one we have cracked) during installation but we had a replacement rushed in and we replaced it.  I don’t know why you’re talking about the cost.  We never attempted to charge anything extra. 4.       We explained to your wife before we ordered the vanity that there was limited space between the toilet and vanity, so a 24” vanity was agreed on.  We also explained to you the light fixture was not easily moved because the wires were short, there were 3 wires in the box & a stud was in the way to which you were okay with until we asked for final payment. 5.       You wanted to do the painting yourself to save money.  There is always a little prep / sanding needed after the primer coat.  We installed the drywall to the existing studs which may not have been perfectly plumb but you weren’t going to pay for us to reframe your entire bathroom. 6.       Your invoice clearly states $225 for the foot rest which was reduced in price since we changed from a seat and installed per your request instead of the corner seat on the original contract. 7.       Again, there is always a little prep before painting your final coat (prep makes the painter) which you wanted to do the painting to save money.  You are talking about very minor imperfections which can be fixed very quickly with some spackling and sanding.  You are trying to not pay us $1500 for these minor items.  We gave you $100 credit. 8.       We installed a standard shower door per the contract with an allowance of $300.  After it sat in your garage for several weeks & we installed it, then you complained about the height, so we offered to replace it with a taller door which would cost a little more, but once again you would not pay any more, so you decided to remove it and give it back.  Now you want us to reimburse you money for a door that’s been installed and you want money for labor.  That’s not reasonable.   9.       The invoice clearly states a $300 allowance was given for a shower door.  We cannot take it back after it has been installed and refund the total amount.  We offered you $100 credit. 10.   My project manager with 25 years experience met with you to settle this situation and you would not budge from the $1500 you believe is fair.  You would not even allow him to look at the bathroom.  Again, you are talking about minor drywall fixes which you would not allow us to finish and now you want over $1000.00 for.  I did not call anyone a name.  I did say “people like you wouldn’t be happy if you won the lottery”.  I was told numerous times that you were yelling at my employees and at each other while we were there working.  We treated you with nothing but respect.   I have been with the Revdex.com since 2009 and this is the only Revdex.com complaint.  We try our best to make our clients happy.   Sincerely, [redacted] TLS Home Improvement, LLC
