Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/07/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
He would not answer my questions at all regarding the issueOn June 1st when I had went and saw him about the issue being resolved he told me to wait patiently as it was already underway and it takes days to resolve itI was naive and didn't ask him when it had started, just presumed it was on May 11thSO I patiently waited for over days from May 11thOn June 29th I emailed him asking about this (after calling and leaving a VM days prior with no response); my email includes:
Hello ***,
As per our last conversation you stated that I had to wait days from the sale of the house before we could settleIt's been well over that timeframe now and I left a voicemail two days ago and you have not contacted me back
If you would please respond to my email and give me exact details of why I am waiting, a timeframe of the wait, and an estimate of the cost, that would be appreciated
Thank you,
His response:
There may have been some confusion on the days - it is a day claims process that we had to conduct to ensure we captured everything which will expire next week and then we will be able to proceed with finalizing the numbersSorry for any confusion
I responded: I understand the daysThe closing was on May 11, When did you start the actual process?
His response:
I am not sure as my head office reviewed the file and then conducted to the claims process - this is all legally required to be done - again sorry for any confusion
(So he claimed not to have know, and refused to find out for mePoor customer service IMO)
July 11th I sent the following:
It has now been days since the closing of the houseThis is getting sillyYou never seem to give me a direct answer to when this will be all settled and it gets very frustratingNot to mention, each time I seem to get a different answerOn June 1, 2017, you claimed it was days and that I just have to wait and that you already STARTED the process (now I was naive and didn't ask when it was started and just assumed it started on May 11, or a couple of days after that, so I presumed it was already in the process of being done)The in the last email you said it would be by the end of next last week and that has since pastCan you please tell me EXACTLY when this will all be finalizedI feel like I'm being given the run around each time because I get no direct answer to my questions, and that is unfair to me
His response:
I can't give you an exact timeline as this is a legal process and we must remain compliant with the legislation - I can assure you that our office has been working on things pursuant to the legal requirements under the Bankruptcy ActPresently, my office is working on the final numbers to give to your lawyer for the final payout from the funds held in trustThis all takes times, so please bear with us while we ensure that all of your financial obligations under the Bankruptcy Act are accounted forI am hoping to have a final number calculated and forwarded to your lawyer tomorrow
After he finally had settled off the estate, I sent him the following email (to which I got no response and contacted you the Revdex.com)(sent July 18th):
Firstly, I would like to thank you for finalizing my mother's estateHowever, could I get a detailed breakdown of how that works including what I had paid in the bi-weekly installments up to that point?
After his contact from you he quickly then sent an email to me with this blanket statement (July 21):
We are now proceeding to Court to obtain your discharge - we are just waiting for a Court date - once we have you discharged we will be moving forward with our discharge and part of the process will be calculating all the costs and distributions to creditors - you will be provided with a final copy of the statement, however it will take a few months after your discharge is granted by the Court and we can't calculate anything formally until then as there is an approval process with the Court that we need to follow
I hope this helps, and again sorry for the confusion over the last month
I am not happy at all with his vague statements to me and never gave me any idea that I would NOT get a detailed breakdown of what he had charged me for monthsI fail to understand how he can charge me and yet I can't get a breakdown of shat services I paid for? For all I know I'm getting ripped off
Plus he never mentioned to me any way of knowing it was legal (i.estating that it's section whatever of whatever code)I've been left in the dark and to me it's all very shady
I'm not happy at all with them nor his bt blanket statements and just pandering me offEvery time I contact them it's a new bt answer and never directWorst service ever and I've paid through the nose for this and don't even know what I was charged for
