other problems which now I see why the original fuel pump had failed. When [redacted] and I got out of the attic that evening we had spoken to your wife about the difficulties we had in trying to remove the air from the fuel lines. She had told us she would have you call me and we could discuss what the next step would be. Did not hear from you so I made a couple phone calls to you and still No response. I then mailed the bill to your street address, because we did not have your PO box at the time and that letter came back to us as undeliverable, and this is why it took so long for you to receive the bill. Then there is your statement about having three technicians there at your home, you are right we did. My first trip out for 2 hrs to diagnosis the problem this was on 12/8/2016. Then because I was on another job and [redacted] and [redacted] had finished up a job and was opened for another call, [redacted] stated he would go up and take care of the install of the oil pump, which was on 12/15/2015 [redacted] was just a ride along at that time even though he assisted [redacted], which [redacted] had spent 8 Hrs on trying to reconfigure the piping to and from the pump, and yes had to go to Ramona a get some additional parts and a tool. Once [redacted] finished up he had that problem of the air in the fuel lines, So [redacted] decided to call it a night and we decided to give it one more attempt a couple of days later which turned out to go into the evening as stated above in this letter on the 18". So now we come to the billing portion of this situation on 12/8/2016 you were charged 2 hrs for my time, and on the 15"you were charged 8hrs for [redacted]s time NOT [redacted]'S which I credited back $467.50 for [redacted]s time. Then on the 18"we just charged you for 2 hrs of my time NOT [redacted]’s. Below is a breakdown of the time (Labor), parts, shipping and trip charges Labor 12/8/15 [redacted] 2hrs @ $85.00 per hr = $170.00 12/15/15 8hrs [redacted] @ $85.00 per hr=$680.00 less for credit $467.50 = $212.50 12/18/152.5 [redacted] @ $85.00 per hr=212.50 Total = $595.00 Parts Fuel pump = $318.76 Flex coupling = $21.58 Brass fittings = $14.40 Sub Total = $354.74Tax = $28.38Shipping for pump = $15.00Total = $398.12Trip charges = $135.00 Grand Total = $1128.12 Only billed you for $1090.72However like you I'm willing to negotiate with you Mr. [redacted] to be fair I would like 3hrs for our attempt to repair (Labor) and for the parts, shipping of pump and one trip charge of $45.00 for a total of $683.12. As you know we are based out of Escondido. You do need additional repairs, so stated on your invoice either new fuel lines and a new oil tank. (Which you may still have problems with the oil heater on start up, do to the age may want to replace the heater or a new heat pump system).We want each customer we do business with to feel satisfied, and that apparently didn’t happen in your case.
