I contacted his office to renew my birth control prescription. I was told I had to have a Pap smear before my prescription would be renewed because it was must be done every year. When I came in for my visit the Pap smear was completed at which time I was told it wasn’t necessary to have it done annually. The nurse then told me my blood pressure was elevated and the doctor wanted to talk to me. The doctor spoke to me and pre robed blood pressure medication for me, though I refused it. Since well woman visits are included in my insurance I did not pay anything that day. I received a bill in the mail for $30 today. When I called the office I was informed I was billed for a consultation as well as a well woman visit. I did not request a consultation. Why was a billed for it? When I requested to speak to the doctor he was not available today the next day of the following. I should not be billed for a service I never requested. He doesn’t seem to want to resolve this issue.
