RE: Case Number - *** ***
Dear MsKeate,
We received a copy of Mr***'s
complaintThank you for the opportunity to respond
Mr*** responded to an online offer to enroll in our Outdoor Heritage Knife Series on March 4, Per the terms of the initial offer Mr*** enrolled in, no purchase commitment was required, and he could cancel at any timeOn March 6, Mr*** called our toll-free number requesting to cancel his participation in the Outdoor Heritage Knife Series, which our customer service representative immediately recorded and processedAs a result, he promptly received an email confirmation from us stating his request was completed
On November 24, Mr*** called inquiring about a charge on his credit card in the amount of $from the Outdoor Heritage Knife SeriesAs a result of that call, we found that his account was not properly cancelled as intended in March, resulting in an errant pre-authorization hold of $on his credit cardThis was a pre-authorization only and not an actual charge
Because of the prior processing error, Mr***'s earlier cancelation was not apparent to the representative he spoke with November 24thMrLarsen abruptly ended the call before the representative could fully explain the situationMr*** called back a short time later, at which time he was informed of the error and the fact that the amount he was seeing was a pre-authorization, that no charge had been made, and that we had confirmed proper cancelation of his participation in the knife program
I have listened to the telephone call from November 24, and have met with the representative to reviewThe proper procedure on how to process Mr***'s request was discussed and documented
We appreciate Mr***'s interest in the series and regret any inconvenience this may have causedWe can assure you that Mr***'s account has been cancelled and no pre-authorizations or charges will appear on his credit card
Sincerely,
Tracy ***

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I accept that it was a pre-auth and not an actual chargeThe problem was they were not helpful, and all the representative had to say was that they could not do anything until they recieved the item back, that they shipped to an address I no longer lived atI had to repeat myself multiple times and thats all the repContinued to sayAlso she said there was nothing they could do because it was on hold, not an actual chargeNeedless to say when this was settled they just cancelled the payment on thier end which could have been done in the beginning and solved all of this issueI asked the rep if that could be done and she said it couldntContinuing to say they needed the item sent backWhich I had no control overAlso I did not abruptly end the phone call, not allowing the repTo finish, after denying every request, I simply asked if they were a member of the Revdex.com and she was hesistant to say yes, when she did I asked her what her company name was and that I was going to be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com, she then put me on hold for about minutes to find the name of the company that she works forThen I again stated that the charges need to be taken care of that day because I already had the money that was in my account spent on christmas presents for my childrenAnd she said again there was nothing they could do until they received the item backI then told her I was filing my complaint and I would call back later to speak with a supervisor because for the minutes I was in the phone with her, she could not find me a supervisor

RE: Case Number - 57321327 [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted]
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the...

Design with Style DVD Series, a series of DVD's for crafting enthusiasts offered by TN Marketing.
Ms. [redacted] responded to our offer to enroll in the Design with Style DVD Series on June 20, 2014. When Ms. [redacted] accepted the initial offer, no purchase commitment was required, and she could cancel at any time. We received payment from Ms. [redacted] on June 20, 2014 for Advanced Techniques and a payment on September 12, 2014 for Design Tech and Creative Concept.
On December 23, 2015 we did received an invoice from Ms. [redacted] stating she had returned a DVD, Intro to Wire and Jig Tech and requesting that we cancel her participation in the series. The DVD Tubular Spiral and Raw was also received by us on December 24, 2015. Her participation was cancelled the day we received her request. The invoice she may have received thereafter we presume was probably already in fulfillment when we cancelled her membership.
Although Ms. [redacted] indicates in her complaint that she returned DVDs previously we have checked our records and warehouse and we have no record of having receiving any returns or any request for cancelation prior to 12/23/15. Please note that we also have no record of any address change on file.
Finally, our records show that Ms. [redacted] was receiving invoices for four DVD's which she indicated she returned but which we never received back. Ms. [redacted] will receive no further mailings of any kind from the Design with Style DVD Series.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please call us toll-free at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX or e-mail us at [redacted]@program-director.net.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We are sorry that those DVD's did not meet Mr. [redacted]'s satisfaction. As an accommodation he may keep the DVD's he has not returned without any further payment, and if he receives another invoice due to the fact that it has already been processed, he should simply ignore it.
