Review: My husband and I hired [redacted] of TNS Construction to frame a 2 story house and garage for us. From day 1 it was nothing but problems. The work performed was horrible. Every wall is out of square, some up 2 inches. 2 walls were too long, one window opening is 4 inches too large, etc. He destroyed materials and wasted materials which have to be replaced. So far, we have 2 pages of items that need to be corrected plus we have to finish the work that he did not complete but was paid for. WE have already spent weeks correcting things and have much more to do to make the house structurally sound. My father, who built houses for 30 years and is the general contractor pointed out errors to him and he refused to fix them. He was verbally abusive, using foul language and calling him names. After 2 weeks, he walked off of the job and refused to fix the things, some of which are actual code violations. We had to take down 4 walls to fix the outside band (structural) to fix it because it was 3/4" out. We have since had to take down 4 more walls to correct them as well as removing all of the foam board and house wrap to replace OSB that was not applied correctly and to nail many areas where he did not even attach the OSB to the framing. There is so much I cannot list it all. Luckily I have my father and his experience, otherwise we have unknowingly accepted his work for quality and had many problems down the road. Unfortunately, after the fact we heard from several people about the quality of his work and his character but it was too late for us. I don't want this to happen to someone else.Desired Settlement: I would like to warn other unsuspecting homeowners who may contract TNS Construction for work but due to the extent of problems that we are having and the amount of money it is costing us to correct and complete his work we actually plan to pursue a legal suit against him in the very near future.

Response:

Please be advised that this firm represents [redacted] and TNS Construction. I have reviewed your demands dated October 23, 2013. I have also spoken to [redacted], Building Inspector for [redacted] Township. At this time, you have violated that Construction Contract entered into with TNS Construction. There have been a total of six (6) separate plans for the construction of the home. The plans approved by [redacted] have been unilaterally modified without township approval by [redacted].

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I HADE HIM DO A ROOF FOR MY GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE AND HE WAS AWFUL. CUSING HIS WORKERS OUT THE WHOLE DAY TREATING HIM LIKE GARBAGE. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL WILL NEVER CONTACT TNS EVER AGAIN.
