My name is [redacted] and I am the owner of TNT Moving Services. I am responding to the previous complaint made by Mrs. [redacted]. My moving men arrived at the [redacted]'s on the day of the move to find that they were no where near finished packing as they said they would be. Many items were...
strewn about the house, which my men had to navigate around as they were single items laying on the floor not packed. Mrs. [redacted] stated that she cant imagine why we cant move all of the single items. I told here we could if she would have notified us ahead of time and we would have been happy to arrive with boxes to complete the packing before the move. Two of my lead movers were in the office moving out the office desk. Mr. [redacted] began disassembling the top hutches/cabinets to another three piece desk. My men asked him to not do that as they would take care of it when it was time to move those items. He continued and as the office is small with all of this furniture and Mr. [redacted] in there as well, my guys while trying to navigate the desk through the door backed up into the hutch that Mr. [redacted] was unscrewing and it fell to the floor. Not only was the cabinet damaged but camera equipment was still in the cabinet/hutch. Not only did Mr. [redacted] disreguard my mens instructions, he didn't even check in the cabinet to make sure nothing was inside which we would had done if we were taking it down. The [redacted]'s stated that it was our fault which is totally incorrect. I did state to Mrs. [redacted] that if anything was our fault, I will stand behind it. But after hearing the story from both my men and Mr. [redacted], it was clearly the fault of the customer. In reguards to the other damage they are claiming, there is a flaw in the bedrail that cant be seen unless you observe by getting on the floor and the cardboard backing of the desk has hole for wires. All of this has been turned into my insurance company for them to handle. In THIRTEEN YEARS OF BUSINESS, I have never had a complaint to the Revdex.com that I can recall and have NEVER had to file against my general liability insurance. But that's why I carry insurance, not only because we are required to by TXDMV but for instances like this. I hope it all works out for the [redacted]'s and their claim against my insurance for a fault that was none of our making. As for the customer having to make multiple trips after we moved all of their items (move went very well), they would have had less trips if items were boxed.
