Absolutely poor service. The delivery was fine but the management horrible. The owner Julie T[redacted] was unwilling to correct an error to assist me the customer. I ordered a furniture set though W[redacted]. The furniture arrived a week prior to the company setting up a delivery date. When they came they did not give me an option for delivery time just a one time block of 10-2. The wife took off work to receive the items but the company did not deliver everything. When it was addressed with the driver he was not aware of the shipment. When I spoke with Julie T[redacted] she made the excuse that it was not with the original shipment and that they did forget it but I would need to wait another week to get it delivered. I explained to her that this means I would have to take a monetary loss and take off again and she did not budge only stating that she did not have a truck coming to this area till next Tuesday. When explained to her that it would not work she responded the same. Her company showed zero respect for the customer or correcting their mistake and instead went for the least effort. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Review: On Sept 12th, 2013, I went to Tobin Transport in [redacted], VA to pick up two pieces of furniture my husband and I ordered through [redacted]'s Sofa Gallery. Tobin Transport is the company contracted to deliver furniture for [redacted]'s Sofa Gallery. Because we are getting ready to move, I asked [redacted] at Tobin Transport if I could pick up the two tables. During the process of putting the end table into my vehicle, the two men doing so had to move the front seat back for more room. When I got home and removed the end table, I saw the center console had been damaged. The damage is consistent with the seat being moved backwards with the added weight of the table on the front seat. There are raised grooves on the table of the size which caused the damage to the console as the seat was moved backwards.

I called Tobin Transport about the damage and was transferred to [redacted]. She told me because I could not prove I didn't do the damage, she wouldn't honor any claims. This is a brand new vehicle, which I didn't expect to be damaged when picking up furniture.Desired Settlement: My husband and I would like the console to be repaired.

Review: Tobin Transport was originally supposed to deliver my furniture on 21 November 2013, however there was a delay with receiving my goods. My delivery was rescheduled for 7 December. I am moving into a new construction apartment building and the freight elevator has to be reserved at least 1 week in advance due to new tenants moving in. I reserved the freight elevator from 8AM to 12PM. I was informed the day before my delivery that my furniture would be delivered between 12PM and 3PM. I spoke with both the manager and owner who were very unprofessional. They did not care that I had taken the day off specifically for this delivery nor did they attempt to fix their mistake. The owner hung up the phone on me during our conversation. She was also very sarcastic when I explained that I am a physician and my schedule to her over the next 2 weeks is 6AM - 6PM. Her response was "well I guess you will get your furniture in 2 weeks."Desired Settlement: Apology and adjustment of delivery charges

Review: I purchased a one piece entertainment wall unit from [redacted] co. and they gave me the # to this company to get the piece delivered. I called the Tobin Transport to get a quote on the delivery and they then told me they would need to get the information from [redacted] because they needed to know what and size of furniture that I wanted delivered, at that point they told me they would call me back after they got the information. They called me several hours later and left a message with a quote of 150.00 and an additional charge of 40.00 because of my location. I then called them a couple days later to let them know that the price was ok and to set up the delivery appointment. The day of the delivery I noticed they took the doors off and the top to the entertainment unit, I asked if they took them off and the gentlemen said yes, then I asked if they were going to put it back together he said yes they would. When they were done they asked if the location was ok and I said yes then he asked for my signature on the pink line, so I signed and gave him the cash. Once they had left I started dusting and moving my Tv and other electronics onto the unit and at that time is when I noticed the doors were not put on the bottom track right, I then called the company to see if they could come fix this since they were the ones to take it apart and I was asked if I signed the paper stating that everything was good, I said yes because at that time everything did look good. I tried explaining how the doors were not on the bottom track and they were hitting the outside trim and because they were hitting the trim they did not open all the way and now I could not open the bottom drawers. I asked her to send someone out to take a look but she would not, she did say she wanted to talk to her guys then would call me back but when she did she said they told her they opened the drawers for me but that is a lie, they never opened the bottom drawers for me,They just slid open the doors, which do slide open but not completely and now are scraping the bottom and leaving scratch marks on the wood. The lady that I was talking to wouldn't offer any help to me she just said, I have the paperwork signed and that's that, she also said that she had sent me a 4 man team for the price of a 2 man team so if I wanted them to come back to fix the doors I would have to pay again, I think them sending 4 and not just 2 is not my fault they knew exactly what they were delivering, they got the information from the furniture store before they even gave me a quote so I don't think I should have to pay any more. I feel since they took the piece apart they should be responsible for putting it back together correctly and now I would like for the damages to be fixed as wellDesired Settlement: I would like for them to put the doors that they removed back on correctly and have the scratch marks fixed since they are being caused by the doors that were put on incorrectly by Tobin Transport

I called last week on Thursday, August 20th, to schedule an appointment so that the furniture that I purchased from Macy's would be delivered on Wednesday, August 26th. The rep confirmed that I would receive a call today, August 25th, to let me know the time of delivery. However, they never called. Therefore, I called and the rep told me that my delivery was cancelled. I never cancelled it and they said that they will be able to delivered my furniture next week. I already scheduled time to pick up the furniture and now, I have to look for another moving company because Tobin Transport is so unreliable and irresponsible. I cannot believe that Macy's recommended such a terrible moving company. I would never recommend such a terrible moving company.
