I am rejecting this response because:
I have been in contact with Karla ***, she has not given me any resolve. She is repeatedly saying my child seems like he has a learning disability! She is not a doctor, and the bottomline is I did not get what I paid forI was told my child would reach his full potential, that he would be ready At or above his reading levelHe is not!

This is a response to the complaint from Mrs.*** regarding Huntington Learning Center. Mrs*** contacted Huntington Learning regarding her son with concerns in the following areas reading, focus, stated son skips words, son was in basic skills since the first grade, writing, spelling, son had a previous tutor still behind, math skills were low, mom stated she was starting central auditory testing, wanted help.Mrs*** set up an evaluation for 3/20/15.An initial conference was conducted reviewing all of the test results on 3/23/Mrs. *** attended the conference. The following deficits were found in test results phonics below level, sight word reading below levl, reading comprehension below level, mathematics below level, and writing below level. A program was developed and reviewed with Mrs.*** for instructional hours of tutoring on a one to one basis. During the program Mrs*** was pleased with the results.Huntington Learning Center visited the school on 6/9/to review progress and discuss placement. Teacher stated some progress and the evaluation the school conducted indicated Mrs.*** son did not qualify for additional services Monthly meetings were held with Mrs*** sharing all curriculum, retests and scores these meetings were held on 4/14/15, 5/19/16, 6/9/15, 8/13/15, and 8/25/15.On various occasions during these meetings Mrs*** indicated there were concerns regarding focusing and memory loss.Mrs*** would provide specific examples of where she felt her son lost memory for things that just occurred. The Center Director of the Brick NJ location stated that if Mrs.*** felt that she saw these concerns she should seek additional medical evaluations. The center did communicate focus and tracking to be issues and recommended use of a tracking device such as a finger or reading card Achievement tests indicated progress throughout the program.Progress was consistent and curriculum was being done by Mrs. *** son on a fourth grade level when the program was completed in August of 2016.Mrs. *** son completed over pieces of educational curriculum during his time with Huntington Learning Center and at no time did Mrs.*** indicate she was unhappy nor was she contracted to remain in the program as we offer no contracts for our service. After the program ended the center did recommend that Mrs. ***’s son stay for maintenance it was declined. Huntington did not provide a school visit in the fall of due to the fact that the student was no longer enrolled in the program and did not have a release signed that allowed us to contact the school. Huntington would have contacted provided a school visit provided there was a release. Mrs.*** contacted the center in October of stating that her son was tested by the school and was not at the fourth grade level. The center invited Mrs. *** to bring her son back to the center to be evaluated which took place on December 14, 2015. A meeting was held with the Center Director on December 15, and the test results indicated that Mrs.***’s son did slip back in the time he was not attending the center. The center recommended that Mrs. ***’s son return for some sessions to sharpen his skills and the parent stated she wanted a full refund.Operations was contacted and a meeting was set with Mrs.*** for February 23, and due to weather Mrs. *** cancelled the meeting.Operations contacted Mrs.*** and received a call back a week and a half later in March 2016.Mrs*** demanded a refund for services rendered which was not provided. Operations contacted the school and requested to speak to both last year’s teacher and this years teacher. The current teacher did email operations stating that Mrs. ***’s son is struggling and had not made sufficient progress this year.Testing showed Mrs***’s son was on a third grade level. Huntington Learning Center stands by the fact that we provided Mrs***’s son with the best education possible and that the time in center was productive and provided skills needed for school. Huntington Learning Center does not make guarantees as we work with children and we are unable to place a guarantee on themHuntington Learning Center does not evaluate for learning disabilitiesThese policies are outlined in our General Enrollment Agreement reviewed at the initial conference As a company we never want a parent to be dissatisfied with our program our goal is to help children succeed. As a measure of good faith we will provide Mrs.***’s son with the following: Twenty hours of academic tutoring to sharpen his skills with a one to one tutorhours of instruction refundedA school visit to discuss with the current teacher where Mrs***'s son continues to struggle I have also attached a copy of his records to this update. Please let me know if you need any additional information
