We can understand the frustration that Mrs*** is feeling, as she has experienced several construction related issues and miscommunication by the service team trying to correct these issues. We recognize that this home is their vacation home and the only time to
complete service items are unfortunately during their vacation time or work time, which can cause additional stress. Schell Brothers has every intent to correct these concerns, which are some drywall and paint touch-ups on the kitchen ceiling, front porch overlay, and to help with drainage concerns in the backyard. Schell Brothers can have these items completed as soon as possible with the approval from the ***'s. I can also understand that time is one thing we cannot get back and I realize how valuable it is. I would like an opportunity to discuss a reasonable compensation for this time with the ***'s, as I don't feel that it's an unreasonable request by them. home inspection report I felt that we had a very productive and positive meeting, hopefully leading us into the right direction The ***'s had agreed to continue to work with us, allowing us the opportunity to correct the past, current, and home inspection items identified today After reviewing and discussing the items today, we are on schedule for start work tomorrow Tomorrow will be the start, but with some lead-time items on order, there will be other scheduled days needed to fully complete all of the items We appreciate the opportunity to work together with the ***'s to complete their "punch list" items, and moving in a positive direction. Good morning, *** *** We do appreciate the opportunity to respond to this raised concern. We have been working with Mrs*** over the year to help satisfy her request of replacing some defective floor boards. We even had the manufacturing company, Shaw have an
independent inspector review her floors, with only boards that were deemed defective. At the time, this was agreed with all parties, and boards were to be replaced. When the crew showed up to perform the work, the homeowner had more than boards highlighted for replacement. At this time, we had to reevaluate the boards in question. After meeting and discussing which boards the homeowner was not happy with, Schell Brothers agreed to replace more boards for the homeowner, so a total of boards, which was agreed upon during the meeting. When the repair was to be made, the homeowner refused the repair, so another meeting had to take placeWe decided to meet once more to discuss the concern, and Schell agreed to order boxes for the homeowner to help her chose which boards she did not care for, we agreed at the time of the meeting and discussed possible install dates. I was in communication with Mr***, even receiving an install date of the work to be performed for the 27th, but we received this complaint prior to allowing us to perform this service. We feel that Schell Brothers has been more than accommodating when working with Mrs*** on her floor boards, willing to replace up to close to boards for her, when only were deemed defective from the manufacturer. Schell Brothers is willing to work with Mrs***, but within reason. I will reach out to them independently from this complaint to see if we can work together to address this concern.
