Review: Three years agoToddco Builders remodeled our kitchen, including custom cabinets and installation of a new dishwasher. Last week we needed to do a dishwasher repair. The repair person was unable to remove the dishwasher because the dishwasher space was built too small and the dishwasher had somehow been forced in. (The leveling legs had been removed as well.) I contacted Toddco and he denied responsibility and had me deal with one of his subcontractors, [redacted]. I am not sure who [redacted] worked for. [redacted] was leery of removing the dishwasher because he was concerned he would damage either the dishwasher, the floor or both. He agreed the space for the dishwasher had been built too small. After much perseverance, [redacted] was able to force the dishwasher out, but caused the locking mechanism to become misaligned.The dishwasher repair person returned, fixed the dishwasher and realigned the locking mechanism, but was unable to put it back under the countertop. I called Toddco and again asked for his assistance and he does not see any responsibility on his part. [redacted] was also unwilling to attempt to push it pack into place. We have had the dishwasher sitting unusable in the middle of the kitchen for two weeks. I sent Toddco a letter trying to resolve the situation and stated that I would file a letter of complaint with the Contrator Licensing Board and his reply was that I should do that, he looked forward to their response.Desired Settlement: Push the dishwasher back into place, without damaging the dishwasher, floor, or countertop.

Or reimburse me if I can find another company to do the work.

In regards to the complaint ID # 11486547, Toddco Builders has no responsibility in involving themselves in assisting inthe replacement of parts on a recall dishwasher that was purchased by the clients. I spoke with the plumber that my company had referred to the homeowner and was told that the dishwasher was removed and replaced with very little difficulty. My company in under no obligation to warranty a product that has been recalled. I also spoke with the cabinet maker and it is to his understanding that the cabinet design was signed off by the clients before installation.
