To start the two seasons patio addition isn't permitted and was done by a do it yourself home ownerI did tell the owner it wasn't right and I could do what I can with what I had to work withAs far as the door not opening all the way is there is a four inch bump out on the side the hindges are at that stops the door from opening all the wayAnd as far as the storm door it is attached to the brickmoulding as designed to beI have been back two times free of any charge to make him happy on any issues and yes one was loose screw on small deck platform.Which I fixedI have never been asked for a receipt which I do carry with meAnd have no problems with thatI have hung over two hundred doors a year for years and first customer to call me into the Revdex.comI did return all previous calls until I received a call and email on the same time he called the Revdex.com with no time to respond and I did email him back with my answerI do not go around doing bad workOnly ones Opinion and have to say iam sorry he feels this way and have gone back two times to solve his issuesI take pride in my workmanship and I do want my customers to be happy and always tell them when iam done any issues call me in which he did and just went ahead with no lead time to the Revdex.com with the complaintAnd again I would like to honestly state this addition is not to code and I can only do what I can with what I have to work withThank you ***s Carpentry and hope to resolve this but not to go there and be belittled

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I talked to the WFB building inspector before I bought the houseThis room started as a screened in porch in 1946. A permit was pulled in the 1970’s to enclose the porch and install crank windows and there was just a screen door at ground level. The previous owner raised the floor to be level with the interior of the house with a step down to the screen door. The inspector told me I could install a space heater and replace the screen door w/o a permit, but, if I wanted to connect the room to the home HVAC I needed a permit and would cost a lotAlso, I was told the porch was built with footings should I want to put an addition on topThere is the permit story.I took estimates fom other contractors to raise the screen door to floor level and replace it with an exterior door and screen door. There was no confusion as to what I wantedThe date was in Nov 2016.*** bid $and we shook hands. He began installing the door the way he wanted, This involved custom framing to raise the door so don’t tell me we have to work with what we haveCommon sense and symmetry would lead one to bump out the side w/o the hinges so the door would open all the waySee the attached pictures for how this looks. Reluctantly I agreedI feel he took the easy way out. Then he claimed he did not know about the screen door install and wants more moneyThe old screen door did not fit so he left for the day and came back a few days later to install the new oneHe used a jam extender which just does not work. The hinges are so loose the door does not close any more.As for the interior trim, he used a chisel for a saw and the door trim is uneven see attached picturesI could tell he was rushing to his next jobSo I told him to come back after the late season rush to come back finishI paid him $cash. He came back in March 2017. By that time the door stairs fell apartIt was not attached to the house and the threshold of the exterior door was not supported. All he did was install screws only of them attached to anything, the outdoor stairs still are not attached to the houseHe did nothing to the interior trimThere is a one inch gap on the outside top of the door as wellAs the warm weather came, the screen door deterriorated and the quality of work could not be toleratedHe did not return calls until I emailed him about going to the Revdex.comAt least now I have proof he did the work.I want the exterior door moved so the door opens all the way, the screen door attached so it does not use jam extenders and the new framing done properly. If not I will go to courtI have new quotes from other contractors with commentsPlease see the Attached pics, the screen needs a video format to describe but I can't attach it.He did send the message below after the Revdex.com contacted him.Iam fighting cancer right nowSorry it might be another month yet before I get outSent from my iPhoneOn Jun 9, 2017, at 10:AM, *** *** ***> wrote:> ***,> I want a receipt for the work you did and I will contact the Revdex.com.> ** ***I want the exterior door moved so the door opens all the way, the screen door attached so it does not use jam extenders and the new framing done properly. I have had surgery as of Thursday in Chicago and my health should not be put into play hereYou bought the doors that you wanted and a door jamb kit was needed for it to work and storm door was installed over brickmouldingAs I have done for yearsAt the time I seee no resolve as the times I was there the owner told me how to do my job with no common sense or reason on how it should be done I had to explain what and why I had to do things so please don't question my years of experience as iam willing to offer you dollars for any issues as I will not be talked to with way you did when I was there At this point I have been back several times after the install and now he is adding more even though he was happy enough to pay me in full after looking it overI have no blemishes on my records after years and consider this customer to be one of those people you JUST CANT PLEASE
