Todd's Towing

Review: I returned home from seeing a show at [redacted],and I encountered a towing problem. On my way home I stopped off in [redacted] to look for a diner for some coffee, but I instead stopped at [redacted] on [redacted] I pulled into a parking lot at [redacted] and I did not see any sign that stated that I could not park there. So I went into the pizza shop and ordered a cheesteak and a soda. When I opened the soda, I noticed a tow truck hooking up to my 2006 black BMW 325i in the parking lot. So I ran out and talked to the operators, and said I would move the car. The first man said I had to talk to the driver. So, I did. When I told him I did not see any no parking signs, he pointed to signs that were in front of vehicles that were parked on the edges of the lot, which I could not possibly see because cars were parked in front of them, blocking the view. So he said that I could pay $125 now or pay $175 after it was taken away. I asked if he took credit cards, but he said cash only. So I ran back into the pizza shop, which had a Mac machine and got the $125 and then paid the driver, but he did not have a receipt for my payment unless I went to the "yard" with him, which was an obvious inconvenience. He then unhooked my vehicle. I asked if I should then move my car but he said I didn't have to because he was the only driver "on" tonight. So, I went back into the pizza shop and ate my cheesesteak (while seeing the driver make a similar transaction with another driver whose car the tow truck was about to tow), and then I drove home, fuming all the way because I felt I was scammed somehow. Upon returning home, I started searching about the tow truck company and the lot. And I found this website in the process, which showed this lot to be in violation of [redacted] code:

I would not have parked there if I saw signs that I would be towed. Plus, I was not given a parking ticket first, which also seems to be in violation of [redacted]'s Towing code, as well. And I would like my $125 refunded since this lot seems to be in violation of city code and since I was not ticketed before the towing process commenced.Desired Settlement: To have my $125.00 refunded
