I maintain that the packaging and website are not clear enough to the average consumer that the lock will prevent theft and registering the lock in any way does not automatically register the theft protection that is advertised as wellBusiness should not hide the theft registration as they do nowThe most prominent “registration” is for they key, and it does not tell the consumer they are NOT registering for the anti-theftInstead, because it is the only clear “registration”, consumers are left to assume they have both registrationsBusiness should clearly advertise in the San areas Key Registration AND anti-theft registrationHad business not hidden this, I would’ve registered and the company would’ve replaced my bicycle by nowAdditionally, company should not advertise safety of lock being “75%” safe or “85%” safe as these numbers are subjective and advertisement

I am very sorry that the consumer felt that we did not specify all information correctly on our packaging.  As the package of the lock states, the consumer can go to our website for more information on the Anti Theft protection offer.  The Anti Theft Protection offer is a service that you...

pay yearly for.  When clicking the Anti Theft Protection link on our website, it will redirect the consumer to the terms and conditions page where they can read these terms and conditions.  Once they have read the terms and conditions, they are able to print the application for the Anti Theft Protection offer. The Key Registration the consumer signed up for is only to register their keys in case they are lost.  We are then able to make them replacement keys.  When the consumer goes to the Key Registration page, it does not state anywhere that they are signing up for the Anti Theft Protection Offer.

After reviewing the information you provided.  We understand that you believe that the registrations links are not clear enough. However, we do list the registration and anti theft protection links on the home page of the on guard website. The links are in the middle of the homepage as well as in the footer. We also have good success with people registering both their key codes and their anti-theft protection program on a daily basis. We are sorry that you feel that we are trying to mislead people, but that is certainly not our intentions. We will take your comments into consideration for any future adjustments to the website.  You said that you registered your lock, but we are not finding you in our system.  Would you have registered under a different name?  The rating scale you questioned is showing the level of protection for each lock in our brand from lowest to highest. It is very similar to a star rating scale. The more stars or the higher the number the stronger the lock is. Please understand that no lock can ever be 100% sure against theft.
