Toga Bike Shop

Review: Brought a bicycle wheel to this shop for repair. In order to complete the repair the item had to be partially disassembled (cassette had to be removed). After repairing the wheel at my cost, the wheel was delivered without the cassette. The shop is falsely stating that the cassette was not furnished when the wheel was originally delivered for repair. I am 100% certain that the missing cassette was originally provided and I want it back. The shop either lost it or one of the employees stole it. The shop has offered me an inferior replacement product (further evidence that they know they lost it), but I want the exact product that was originally provided.Desired Settlement: I want my cassette back. If they lost or stole it, I want it to be replaced. The exact model is a SRAM Red XG 1090 Cassette (12-28 range) and MSRP is $335 ([redacted]).

Review: I hired Toga Bikes to ship my $2,700 bike from New York to Utah. Toga took care of the packaging and shipping through UPS. I purchased insurance from Toga Bikes in the amount of $1,500. My bike arrived in Utah with the carbon fiber frame cracked as a result of improper packaging according to UPS. Toga has not disputed this allegation. Whether it is true or not, I do not know.

UPS has since returned the bike to Toga.

I have discussed this matter on numerous occasions with Toga. However, they refuse to give me any information regarding their conversation with [redacted], whether they are now in receipt of my bike (which has a reclamation value due to its components), or whether they intend to provide me with the value of the insurance policy -- $1,500.

I believe that since I paid for $1,500 of insurance to ship my $2,700 bike, and since, according to the best information I have at this time the bike was packaged negligently and the bike subsequently broken due to such negligent packaging (with no reclamation value since I do not have the bike or any of its components in my possession), Toga should pay me the $1,500.Desired Settlement: Toga Bikes should refund me $1,500.
