Review: I selected Togo Express Shipping to ship my possessions to Ghana where I planned to retire. After many visits and evaluations by the owner. He insisted that I rent a forty foot container for the large amount of furniture, electronics and appliances I was shipping. I paid $5500.00 dollars for the container and shipping of my belongings to Ghana in November of 2013. In February of 2014, what resulted was a total disaster. A relative of mine received a phone call to inform me that my shipment was on its way to my home.This was done without notification of any sort. When the shipment arrived the next day more than 25% of my belongings were missing and the items that did arrive were damaged beyond repair. Many of the furniture and items I sent were brand new. I have made many attempts to resolve this matter with Togo Express, and its proprietor in person. The proprietor has dismissed me and simply ignores my complaints. I have suffered much hardship due to this company's total ineptitude and irresponsibility and need to be compensated monetarily.Desired Settlement: Togo Express shipping and its proprietor are responsible for the damages to my belongings that did arrive and should afford me monetary compensation for the missing items that never arrived and are presumed lost. Togo Express Shipping and its proprietor should also refund me the $5500.00 that I paid with the proprietors guarantee that my items would arrive promptly and safely. Togo did not perform the service they committed themselves to carry out
