Tom Barbee Carpet Cleaning

Review: This company has signs posted all over the St Tammany Parish Area. All signs state that carpet cleaning is $15 per room with no hidden charges. I live in a 3 bedroom, living room and small hallway with carpet. My bill came to $246 for carpet cleaning. I had no explaining of how my bill came to $246. I had instructed he I call him because of the signs that I saw for $15 per room. I knew my carpets needed an extra pretreatment but certainly not $200 worth. A couple of days later I called this company and explained how shocked and disappointed I was in their service. It took 3 days for my carpets to dry. I felt completed ripped off and needed someone to call me back. I work is sales and would never treat a customer like this and certainly would call a client back. I never heard from them again. After speaking to other people I hear this company is doing the same to other clients, overcharging and false advertisements.Desired Settlement: I just feel that this company should not be advertising a service for one fee and then once the work is done, overcharging clients. Of course I would love my $246 dollars back, but I don't expect that. I just hate for other people to give this man money for a very poor job. Thank you.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Tom Barbee Carpet Cleaning regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

He basically believed his prices where right and it was my fault for the carpet being wet for 3 days. He told me it was impossible for my carpets to stay wet, he said I didn't have my air on... (As if I would live with three small babies and no air on in August). He had a bad attitude and basically said that even though he advertises as $15 per room with no hidden fee. Several people complained due to the final bill, because he said that people don't listen to him when he explains the charges. He said he can't do a room for just $15... He had a very poor attitude really didn't care about my complaint. I also am in sales and would never treat a customer that way especially when a business like that could have a lot of referral business. Thanks you.
