Thank you for allowing us an opportunity to resolve a customers frustration and document our successful satisfying of Mr [redacted] .Service advisor [redacted] quoted Mr [redacted] $plus tax to replace tires on his BMW 328i.? He approved.? When completed [redacted] told the customer the total was $($plus tax).? Mr [redacted] said he was only quoted $and did not hear us say plus tax.? Because the resolution requested by Mr [redacted] says "taxes" I personally paid the $of taxes for the customer with my own money.? That satisfied the customer and he paid the $when he picked up his BMW.Also Mr [redacted] asked for a $plus tax complete vehicle detail for free or at a discounted rate because he felt the extensive work paid for by his insurance company justified it.? [redacted] reduced the detail to $plus tax which the customer declined.? I reduced it to $with me personally paying that tax also.? Mr [redacted] agreed.? He picked up his BMW a satisfied customer Friday February 5th.Thank you,Br [redacted] J ScottService ManagerTom Bush BMW Orange Park###-###-#### [redacted] ?
Thank you for allowing us this opportunity. After discussing this situation in length with Mr [redacted] I believe his best recourse is to contact BMW customer relations so I have provided him the phone number.? The overview of the situation is that the oil filter housing did fail on Mr [redacted] s BMW and their is indeed a recall to replace the housing which is what Tom Bush BMW Orange Park completed.? Unfortunately consequential damage resulted when the oil filter housing failed prior to recall completion and the campaign instructions only allow manufacturer payment of what Tom Bush performed.? Because the vehicle is out of warranty all we could do is quote the non covered repair to the customer.? The customer declined and the work was completed elsewhere.? I instructed Mr [redacted] to provide his receipt for that repair to BMW for review and possible reimbursement of expense.? Update:? BMW customer relations contacted me for information, which I provided.? I encouraged BMW to reimburse Mr [redacted] for customer satisfaction because I feel his expense was related to the recall even though not covered by the campaign guidelines.? I am optimistic that Mr [redacted] will get a positive outcome but that decision is from BMW not Tom Bush. Please contact me if I can answer any questions on this matter, [redacted] ***Service Manager Tom Bush BMW Orange Park?
