They attempted to charge $385 in extra fees. $28 for a permit that was never pulled, $47.50 for blow down tube on water heater, when questioned about not re using old one which was in fact better than what he installed he lied about code, $67.50 for dielectric Union that was not needed or installed because water heater comes equipped, $85 in plumbing modifications that were just part of install that they were already being paid for by insurance company and they wanted $135 to remove old water heater which has a stainless steel tank that scrapper a will actually pay for. I've been in the construction industry my entire life so I had an idea that something wasn't right. Most homeowners would probably not question this things which is unfortunate.
