responsible after 30 days for losing diamonds” when she called I was very polite to answer her questions, she was expecting me to fix her ring and paid for the repair and all the shipping expenses; I told her “I gave you an appraisal to insure your ring and you are supposed to claim it to insurance company” Instead she claims to me and start cursing me. I’ve have been in the business for 30 years and I never had any complain for my business. I always try to make my customers very happy.

Review: I purchased a diamond ring from this jeweler on 12/*/2014. The appraisal he gave me is for $4650. This past Saturday I noticed two .02 diamonds were missing. I called the jeweler to advise and ask that he either1) pay for the repairs to be done by a reputable jeweler in [redacted] or2) pay for shipping costs to and from his location and have him fix the ring and inspect the prongs to insure all were tight.Before I had an opportunity to discuss these options he asked if I had an appraisal. When I said yes he said then you have to file a claim with your insurance company. I asked why did he not stand behind a product of less than 6 months old and he likened this to driving a car off the lot, get into an accident and having to go through car insurance. This is ridiculous.When I asked him what if I did not have insurance he said that is too bad. Doesn't a credible jeweler stand behind a product they sell. Especially a high value diamond ring?Desired Settlement: I am going to have the ring fixed here in [redacted] where I live and feel Tom's jewelry should reimburse me in full for the repair and inspection of all prongs and settings in this ring.
