I spoke on the telephone with *** *** ***, the assistant manager, on the morning of October and he told me that a check was mailed to us on September 15. I told him that as of October 1, we haven't received any such mail containing the security deposit refund check, and asked to what address the check was mailed. The street address that *** *** said that the check was sent is to not our address and there is no such street address in our neighborhood. *** *** then said that he would talk to their corporate office about what to do, but would get right back to me. On the afternoon of October , I again called *** *** and was told that he was in the office but was on the phone, and would call me right back if I provided my name and phone number. I provided my information but did not hear anything further from *** ***

Two (2) security deposits totaling $($by *** *** and $by the co-tenant) were made for Chesterfield *** *** for the lease period August 1, 2013, through July 31, 2014. The two security deposit amounts are documented on page 2, paragraph of the signed lease. While it is true that a check was reissued, the amount of the reissued check was only $202.50, or $LESS than the total of the two security deposits made. No explanation of any deductions from the two security deposits was provided as spelled out on page 3, paragraph f of the signed lease. I am at a loss to understand why the landlord refuses to acknowledge the two documented security deposit amounts and return them to the tenants.
