[redacted] purchased a Chevrolet Silverado HD from us on July 3, He came in, drove the vehicle, and agreed on figures to purchase the truckRoughly weeks later a sensor came on and [redacted] took his truck to a local dealership to have diagnosedThey gave him a price to fix it of $ [redacted] believed that Tom Tepe Autocenter should be responsible to fix this issue so he called and spoke to several employees First, he spoke to the salesman, [redacted] ***, who told him that he would have to check with his manager because he is not authorized to make any decision that would result in the dealership paying for At this time our service manager, [redacted] became involvedHe spoke with [redacted] regarding the sensor and offered to help with the cost of the repair if he would bring his truck to Tom Tepe AutocenterWe told [redacted] that we would be able to fix the job for an estimated $300-$less than what the other dealership priced the job to be fixed atAt that time [redacted] refused our assistance to help lower the cost of the repair The General Sales Manager, [redacted] , then became involved after thisHe spoke with [redacted] times and apologized for the inconvenience of the situation He then proceeded to again offer that our service department would be more than happy to fix the repair for and estimated $300-$less than what the other dealership had priced to himAgain he refused because he said that Tom Tepe Autocenter should be responsible to pay for the full amount [redacted] then explained to the customer that during the purchase of the vehicle he did sign a buyer’s guide referencing the vehicle as “As Is”, which in turn was offered an extended service plan to cover any unwanted repairs, which he also declined [redacted] said that he contacted General Motors about the issue as well and said that he got GM to cover some of the cost of the repair since the factory warranty just expiredHe refused to disclose how much GM was paying at the time of this discussion with MrWagner Sincerely, Harry TepePresident, Tom Tepe Autocenters Inc
