We took our truck to Tom's for some welding work They said the part was defective and they would do a temporary weld They indicated it should last at least a day but they could not warranty it They charged $per hour and their guy messed around talking to his friends about stupid stuff to make sure the work took almost an hour and they charged us $ Left the lot and less than an hour later it broke again Called them and they said too bad, your problem Said they told us it would not last long but we expected more than an hour If that is how bad it was, then why did they do it in the first place They said we would have to pay full price to have it done again I think this is terrible customer service and would never take our truck here for anything ever again We also have contact with about other drivers at an [redacted] depot and will tell all of them never go here They will rip you off! Just want everyone to know how terrible they are

I had my truck repaired here and the first time, without my authorization, they charged me about $2,which I wasn't fixing to spend I paid that and had taken it back to them They cracked the dash and replaced it without my consent I brought it back for them to fix it since they caused the problem After I talked to them, the shop manager told me he could fix the truck but it would cost me another $if he went to the dealer for the parts I said no He said otherwise it would take weeks to get a reconditioned part to do it I said that's fine, whatever it takes I'm not sure where they got the part, I'm assuming the dealer, but they fixed it anyway and now my total bill is running over $1,and I refuse to pay it because I didn't authorize them to do it They charged for the parts plus labor They have offered me payments which I don't want They caused the damage so they should be responsible for fixing it I didn't expect to have to pay any money since they ca

I dropped my semi truck off to get looked at for some issues I was havingThey informed me that it will take days to be looked atdays later I get an invoice saying I owe for charges I didn't authorize I asked them to explain why I was being charged so much and they will notAll I asked was for them to explain all the labor involved, how many hours of labor and how many hoursBut the refusedJust keep calling me an *** for not understanding I have rights as a consumer to know why I'm being charged so much

Mr*** brought his truck in for diagnostics. He was informed we would get to it as soon as possible but did not promise a day and time. We performed extensive diagnostics on the vehicle but were unable to repair it (full details and descriptions below)Mr*** did not agree
with the charges. We explained the charges verbally and provided him with an invoice with a written description the labor chargesThe next day we notified the police when we noticed someone was stealing the vehicle off of our parking lot. It turned out to be Mr*** trying to take his truck without paying for services rendered. When caught he offered to pay with a credit cardWe informed him now we required cash for we feared he would simply reverse the charges on his credit card after acquiring his vehicle. He then filed his complaint against us. Below are all of the detailsMr *** began contacting us about servicing his Freightliner Columbia back in August of 2017. On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Mr*** dropped off his Freightliner Columbia. He was informed we were pretty booked up and we would get to it as quick as we couldMost Diesel repair shops are booked out a minimum of two weeks and that is how long it takes to get a vehicle in for inspectionCustomer reported vehicle had loss of power and was emitting black/White smoke. On Saturday 2/10/we tried to look at it but it would not start and would require towing into the shopOn 2/14/we used a service truck to air up the brake and suspension systems, pull started it and brought it into the shop and began diagnostic workDiagnostics revealed active trouble codesResearched codes, disassembled some engine components for visual inspection, and to access ECM (computer) and ECM sensorFound engine severely over fuelingSwapped out a “known good” ECM sensor to test wiring and ECMFound ECM programming had been altered during a DPF delete performed by another shop. Informed customer he would need to return to the shop where the DPF delete was performed or to a facility capable of performing Detroit series programming on an aftermarket levelEmailed invoice including labor description to customer and reminded customer his payment terms were CODCustomer questioned labor charges and we referred him to the labor description on the invoice which detailed all of the chargesOn February 15, at 7:AM, we noticed on our video surveillance monitor that someone without authorization was leaving our lot with the Freightliner Columbia. We called the StLouis Metro police and reported a vehicle theft in progress. The vehicle headed away from our shop going the wrong direction on 9th street which is a one way streetThey made a left turn on *** **once again traveling the wrong way on a one way streetWe continued to pursue the vehicle southbound on *** for two blocks and the vehicle stalled. As we approached the vehicle Mr*** *** got out of the vehicle and a heated discussion ensued about why he was trying to steal his vehicle without payingHe then got his wallet out and offered to pay with his credit card. We informed him we would require cash for fear he would simply reverse the charges on his credit card after acquiring his vehicleHis integrity was certainly in question at this pointHe then filed a report against us to the Revdex.com
