Review: T[redacted] made a verbal promise to refund clients who saw no improvement in their business based on his coaching model. There was no growth in business.

At an event in October 2012 [redacted] made clear promise to refund clients who paid the $6,000 but saw no improvement in their business. I participated in the coaching program. The coaching was poor and was nothing like what he described. At the end of the year I called and asked for the refund, as promised. I was told that the failure was mine and the refund policy was strict and no refund would be made. The October 2012 session was videotaped and it would be simple enough to go back to it and review Mr. [redacted] verbal promise. I ask that the tape be made available to me and that Your Coach company review the tape to see that my claim is true. They funds should be refunded.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $5988. I will forgive the time spent on this program and pursuing the promised refund. An apology would be nice but not required.

I must implement 3 recommended lead generations systems 5. I will attend at least 1 SSI event in 2012/2013 and the Annual Success Summit The signed agreement clearly stipulates the above procedures must be followed in order to be eligible for a full refund, Ms. [redacted] lacked 2, she missed a coaching call and did not attend the annual success summit, therefore, she is not eligible for a refund. In addition she signed in agreement to our terms. Refund was denied based on above specific facts, please refer back to signed agreement for additional details. Sincerely, [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The owner of the business, [redacted], made a very public offer on the base of which I signed up for services. The company video tapes their events and it would be simple enough for them to make the video available to where he pitched the service at the end of the event. In his pitch he specifically said that the money back guarantee was there no matter what portion of the work agents (those buying the service) completed. I am not the only one duped. I have another colleague who was at the event and will testify to the same. But our testimony is not needed. The [redacted] organization has the video recording of [redacted] promise to clients.

Regards,

Review: The company misrepresented the product from the on-set. We were promised a free 30 minute real estate coaching call. Before scheduling the call my wife explained the very specific requirements that we were looking for in a coach. The appointment setter, Maira, said "I've got the perfect coach for you". We spent an hour on the phone with [redacted] who misrepresented the coaching relationship completely. The 30 minute free coaching call was nothing more than a 30 minute sales pitch. [redacted] was identified by the company as a "coach" then was later identified as "just a salesman". We signed a 12 month contract and paid a $999 deposit. We expressed our dissatisfaction with 24 hours of signing and was assured that our specific requirements could be easily and adequately provided for by the company. When we realized that they could not provide what we had specifically asked for, we asked to be released for the contract and for a full refund. They agreed to cancel the contract but charged a $999 cancellation fee. We received absolutely nothing of value for the money charged. They completely misrepresented the product from the very first contact. They could have easily told us that they could not facilitate our specific request and we would have never agreed to work with them. Thank you for your help with this. The retention of this $999 has created a financial hardship on our family and business.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of contract. Refund of all monies paid for which no product or service were received. Agreement that no further collection action will follow.
