improper siding installation causing water damage.I have realized there is no caulking oraoud windows and doors. daylight is showing thru. I am the second owner of the house. I was made aware of this water damage problem and why it is happening. does this county have new home construction inspectors? if they don't they should. looking forward to your reply.Desired Settlementthis improper installation has caused damage in many homes in the area. everyone seems to agree the problem is omission. Prior to closing it was inspected by the [redacted] for footing, framing, mechanical rough-ins, insulation, fire caulking, final electrical and final inspection. A certificate of occupancy was issued. The home buyers also had a home inspection prior to closing.Caulking is a yearly maintenance requirement, especially in the humidity and weather extremes we have here in eastern NC.
