Shulls towed and repaired my car incredibly quickly (2 hours from tow to "go"). We were in a very difficult situation and they treated me like family. I recommend them highly!

This is the worst place I have every got my car serviced from. I was in from out of town. If the choice was to push my car off a cliff or take it to Tommy Shull's, I would push it off the cliff.
I was soaking in the beautiful surroundings of Charlottesville, VA when my car pootered out. My engine was blown. In desperation, I had them pick up my car and repair it. I was limited with options with a holiday weekend and they got my business by saying it would only take a day to get the engine from Richmond and a day to put it in. I usually research things but I through caution to the wind and didn't have many choices. The cost was over $4K.
Every step of the way, I had to call to see the status of my car. Apparently Shull's has other family members in the area doing related car businesses. I accidentally got the wrong number once and asked for the Avon Street location. I don't know if the guy on the phone was mental, drunk, or on drugs, but he snapped at me and said he wasn't a phonebook and wouldn't give me the number to the Avon location. He said I was being rude and hung up on me. The strange part was I never raised my voice or anything. I just asked for their phone number. It was the strangest thing.
When I got the receptionist, she said it would take another day (every day I called I wasn't given a proper estimate, she would simply say one more day). Well a week later and no engine. It turns out it was coming from Texas (what happened to coming from Richmond -- this place is full of lies -- did they find a cheaper one in Texas to make extra money?). Now that this place has my car, and half of my money, it's like having a gun to my head. I had to complete the transaction. She said, once they get the engine, it will only take a day to put it in (really?). Well next week, once again, no calls. I had to call everyday. Well another week goes by.....then the beginning of the next week I pick the car up.
I am boiling and nervous. I already have a bad taste in my mouth about this place. I walk into the shop and I feel like I have walked into Deliverance. I am an open minded individual and like people from all walks of life but this was a real trip.
My itemized receipt just had "engine" and I had to ask for warranty information. Apparently I paid a little extra for some warranty on the engine from their supplier (probably some other scam). Hanging in their office is some quip about how some customers make them happy, and other customers make them happy when they leave. Maybe this was suppose to be cutesy but I was thinking, "really?".
I was pissed but hoping all of this was behind me. Well I take off from their lot and it is instantly making noises like something is loose under the hood. I don't know how they would have test drove it and not heard it. I am boiling at this point and turn around and take it back. They test drive it and it immediately makes the sound. I go in the office as they "work on it". I literally hear banging with what sounds like a hammer. I ask to speak to the manager. Everyone claims to be the manager then passes it off to someone else. I finally speak to one guy. I can't remember who it was. He basically passed the blame onto his supplier and said Texas was delayed because of the flooding (wasn't it coming from Richmond?). When I ask him about it coming from Richmond, he changes his tune and said it's coming through Richmond from Texas. What?
So I leave their shop and drive directly to a [redacted] master mechanic in NoVA. By the way, as a layman, when I opened the hood, I can tell they were rough with my car. I saw areas that were bent that weren't bent before. When the master mechanic looked at my car, it had over $2500 of work on it. It wasn't "nice to have" work but, your car is going to give out if you don't do this stuff. At least $300-$500 was directly related to the engine that shouldn't have been an issue after the engine repair. Had Tommy's Shulls said that I had additional problems with the car totally over $2000 I would have just pronounced my car dead. Like I said, it was problems that were not "nice to haves" but my car would stop going. I sent a letter to Shulls for partial reimbursement for their shoddy work (I had them sign for the letter). They ignored the letter and didn't send anything.
This repair shop is the most rude and unprofessional place I have ever went to. I caught them in several lies. I don't know if they have any [redacted] certifications or are they backyard mechanics peddling as professionals. Either way, stay far far away. This shop cost me a lot of money. $7K later and I guess I am going to have to keep the same car I had since high school. :(

Review: my car was towed to [redacted] of charlottesville to replace water pump.I watch the wrecker driver hook a chain to front and both rear independent suspension and pull my car onto the flat bed wrecker.then I heard crunching noise.you are not suppose to hook any thing to the suspension.Desired Settlement: towing damage reimbursement

On 8/8/2014 Tommy Shulls Wrecker and Repair, Inc. received a

fax request from [redacted] for this customer stating the equipment type

A few days later [redacted] contacted me, [redacted] of
