Not sure of the customer service that people have received lately from the sales agents that represent or the agents with DSLD Mortgage or DSLD Title, however, my personal experience has not met the expectations that I had when working with a builder and the employees that represent DSLDThe customer service that I have received has been horrific From my own personal experience, please expect no modifications at "ALL" with DSLD when it comes to the homeWhen I bring up the idea of my wife and I shopping around for better rates with the mortgage and title, they have been very rude and continuously state that we will lose the $5,incentive that goes towards the closing costI would highly recommend in looking into other mortgage and title options rather than settling with DSLD Also, after spending almost $10,in upgrades, I called a couple of weeks later after our color appointment to see if they would throw the framed mirrors in for us since we just spent an enormous amount of money on upgrades and we were told absolutely notPlease bear in mind that the framed mirrors cost $260.00, but yet, they wouldn't step up to help out at all Also, My wife and I had a budget of around $350,and we looked at the JBL homes located in Acadiana Trace and the home that we signed the contract for with DSLD, Today I regret even considering to do business with DSLDJBL will be willing to semi custom the home and the customer service that you receive from Bruce is amazingMy wife loved the floor plan that we chose and that's the only reason that we chose DSLDI wouldn't recommend DSLD to anyoneI am so looking forward to our home being completed so that I can put this experience behind meI could go on and on with DSLSI would highly recommend considering JBL FIRSTI hate to see how the rest of this process is going to turn out I hate to see when my phone rings when I notice it is a DSLD Representative calling because I know the BS that I will have to hearI pray that things will turn around for us until the time to close on the house One good thing about DSLD that I will is that they have the floor plan that my wife and I love

The buying process and the first year with DSLD was great However, my home is less than years old and I have had to fix my A/C twice, you can see the wood beams pulling away for the ceiling and my stucco is ruined We have spoken with DSLD about the cracks since our year checkout All we were ever told was "Oh, it just needs to settle" My take away is that they didn't take enough time for the land to settle in the first place Never have I seen wall cracking and the outline of wood beams away from the ceiling like this in any home Can it be fixed? Yes, but I certainly don't have the cash to do all of these fixes That is why I bought brand new It is so upsetting that this is something that has only continued to get worse since DSLD brushed it off before my warranty ended They knew exactly what was going on and took advantage of a young person who didn't know better at the timeNow I am older, wiser, and the owner of a broken house I will tell everyone who asks about my cracked walls and bulging stucco and how I just kept being told it was "normal" Never in my life did I imagine I would have so many issues with a still young home It's heartbreaking

My husband I have both contacted not only our community office within our subdivision, but also the main office, NOT ONE RETURN CALL
Going back to when we first moved into our new home in Keystone,November of 2013, we had "walk trough's"At each "walk through" we were asked to list all problems in our new homeFrom the beginning, we had a chipped tile in the kitchen, which was fixed twice, but not to our satisfactionThe "repair" looks no better than someone placing a piece of gum on the tile to camouflage the flaw*** well, we had also pointed out some "bubbling" on our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, which again was only masked and not fixedWhile these are only minor complaints, our biggest complaint is the promise that something is going to get done, but nothing is actually doneWhen we first decided to purchase our home in Keystone, we were also told by a Keystone Sales Representative that we would be the corner lot and that no other home would be built on the left side of our homeThis was a HUGE selling point for usNot to mention, the AWFUL upkeep of the empty lot next to our homeThe grass was poorly maintained and when I did call several times to ask that it be cut, I was given the run around and even told that the lawn crew was very busy! My husband even took it upon himself to mow the unruly lot himself, because someone had to do it! As well, their is a sewage drain in that empty lot that has had the top off on several occasionsMy husband and his brother put the top back on the two times thatThere are also two street drains that are being poorly maintained as wellThe covers don't do much good if they are offBringing me to our current complaint, we have called SEVERAL times, and I have even stopped one of the DSLD Sales Reps and asked someone to please address the mud issue that is on the left side (where the new home was just completed) of our homeNeedless to say, we are very unhappy and do not think that we have asked too much

Dsld has redone our neighbor's yards around us and we are now the bowl between the other yards, I have made contact and an appointment with different people in reference to this problem and NEITHER one of them showed up or even bothered to call or text to say that they we're coming and I still haven't heard from them and it's been since the week before Easter that the first was a no showThey have fixed one small portion of our side front yard that their guys kept messing up with various trucks and today approximately week later it has been messed up again by their guysHow hard is it to stay the heck out of my yard???? Really!? Their guys also turned the side of my house into their break room, spilled soda on our ac unit, left chicken bones ALL over my yard, even left a MICROWAVE in my yard because they were stealing my electricity to power it and broke the nozzle on my water hose then just took it off and stole my waterThey NEVER clean up the mess they make in the road yet claim that they keep the roads cleanI have called to ask that they send someone out to clean the roads and to make a complaint about no one showing up to the appointments that they made and no one has even bothered to call me backDSLD is *** on earth and I would NEVER buy from them again

Worked with DSLD to build our home Applied for their financing so we could receive their discount days before closing, they withdrew offer
We applied with DSLD financing Provided them with all information Received approval letter for financing Selected a lot, colors, options and paid in full Waited for the build process knowing we had to wait till after July due to our short sale
Construction began, through dry in and drywall Getting ready were contacted by the finance department that our financing was denied The next day the sales department called saying they were canceling the contract
Further if we did not sign the cancellation within a couple days, we would loose our deposit
We were therefore forced to sign, we did receive our refund the next day
Complaint is, we acted in good faith DSLD did not, giving us no time to secure alternative financing We have secured mortgage financing and plan on purchasing anything but a DSLD
Their practice of issuing approvals then with less than day notice cancel contracts leaving us high and dry Left to start the process all over again with bank that can gladly issue financing
We wanted an apology and received accusatory threats
They are not a professional company who does not act in good faith

Owned a DSLD home now for one year Getting ready to do the final warranty inspection So far everything has been good with minor issues Garage door opener had loud humming soundDSLD replaced it with new unit less than one week Erosion of sod and fill from water drainage DSLD brought fill and new sod in one day We have had kitchen ceiling cracks in drywall due to settlement of the house DSLD predicted to us this will happen and wanted to wait till final inspection to see if anymore areas crack and settle to fix all at once Great Idea! So far no more settlement cracks other than kitchenInspectors all have been nice and positiveIn fact they fixed minor stuff like scratches on cabinets I wouldn't of worried about One thing with spec homes Companies buy accessories in bulk to save cost I am expecting to upgrade everything DSLD has put into the house as it breaks I knew that going inI even repainted all the outside trim with oil base paint as I wanted to use the paint they used as a base paintTrim looks like glass now! I can't complain on the experience so far from the closing to all the inspections

First of all I'd like to say that dsld deleted their review section on their Facebook pageI honestly think it's because they were getting so many bad reviews, which is very unfair, before we signed any contracts with them we searched the internet looking for any complaints or bad reviews about them and couldn't find anything bad being said about themnow that we have purchased a home through them that's all we are hearing is bad reviews and complaints
Our neighborhood has VERY small lots, when we purchased a lot from dsld we were told that there would be a LARGE park (lots) but in actuality (a year later) they only put a very xxxxx, SMALL (1) lot park and we are basically just s.o.lthere's nothing that can be done about itBasically all they said was sorry but there's nothing that can be done about it

I bought my DSLD home in December of My experience with them has been fairly good until recentlyThe concrete in my driveway is wearing down prematurelyEarly this year I was told they would fix it by their repair manThat man's employment with DSLD ended and they sent out another employee around March of this yearThat employee gave me two options one to replace the bad sections of the driveway or to resurface the drivewayAt that time I told him I needed to discuss the options with my wifeSince March I have placed multiple phone calls to that employee and to DSLD neither will return my phone callsIn the meantime I have a driveway that looks like it is not going to last as long as it should
