Worked with DSLD to build our home. Applied for their financing so we could receive their discount. 60 days before closing, they withdrew offer.
We applied with DSLD financing. Provided them with all information. Received approval letter for financing. Selected a lot, colors, options and paid in full. Waited for the build process knowing we had to wait till after July due to our short sale.
Construction began, through dry in and drywall. Getting ready were contacted by the finance department that our financing was denied. The next day the sales department called saying they were canceling the contract.
Further if we did not sign the cancellation within a couple days, we would loose our deposit.
We were therefore forced to sign, we did receive our refund the next day.
Complaint is, we acted in good faith. DSLD did not, giving us no time to secure alternative financing. We have secured mortgage financing and plan on purchasing anything but a DSLD.
Their practice of issuing approvals then with less than 60 day notice cancel contracts leaving us high and dry. Left to start the process all over again with bank that can gladly issue financing.
We wanted an apology and received accusatory threats.
They are not a professional company who does not act in good faith.

I went to see Mr. [redacted] about his piano . Tune did two times and he did not like it. Hi Tune this panel with the latest technology and he was not happy. I did the best I could with the situation.

not here. Was trying to match notes that do not match. I'm not sure what his problem is but I left in a unhappy place. I made my best effort to make them happen he was not so so I can do. Yours truly

Dsld has redone our neighbor's yards around us and we are now the bowl between the other yards, I have made contact and an appointment with 2 different people in reference to this problem and NEITHER one of them showed up or even bothered to call or text to say that they we're coming and I still haven't heard from them and it's been since the week before Easter that the first was a no show. They have fixed one small portion of our side front yard that their guys kept messing up with various trucks and today approximately 1 week later it has been messed up again by their guys. How hard is it to stay the heck out of my yard???? Really!? Their guys also turned the side of my house into their break room, spilled soda on our ac unit, left chicken bones ALL over my yard, even left a MICROWAVE in my yard because they were stealing my electricity to power it and broke the nozzle on my water hose then just took it off and stole my water. They NEVER clean up the mess they make in the road yet claim that they keep the roads clean. I have called to ask that they send someone out to clean the roads and to make a complaint about no one showing up to the appointments that they made and no one has even bothered to call me back. DSLD is [redacted] on earth and I would NEVER buy from them again.

Not sure of the customer service that people have received lately from the sales agents that represent or the agents with DSLD Mortgage or DSLD Title, however, my personal experience has not met the expectations that I had when working with a builder and the employees that represent DSLD. The customer service that I have received has been horrific.

From my own personal experience, please expect no modifications at "ALL" with DSLD when it comes to the home. When I bring up the idea of my wife and I shopping around for better rates with the mortgage and title, they have been very rude and continuously state that we will lose the $5,000.00 incentive that goes towards the closing cost. I would highly recommend in looking into other mortgage and title options rather than settling with DSLD.

Also, after spending almost $10,000.00 in upgrades, I called a couple of weeks later after our color appointment to see if they would throw the framed mirrors in for us since we just spent an enormous amount of money on upgrades and we were told absolutely not. Please bear in mind that the framed mirrors cost $260.00, but yet, they wouldn't step up to help out at all.

Also, My wife and I had a budget of around $350,000.00 and we looked at the JBL homes located in Acadiana Trace and the home that we signed the contract for with DSLD, Today I regret even considering to do business with DSLD. JBL will be willing to semi custom the home and the customer service that you receive from Bruce is amazing. My wife loved the floor plan that we chose and that's the only reason that we chose DSLD. I wouldn't recommend DSLD to anyone. I am so looking forward to our home being completed so that I can put this experience behind me. I could go on and on with DSLS. I would highly recommend considering JBL FIRST. I hate to see how the rest of this process is going to turn out.

I hate to see when my phone rings when I notice it is a DSLD Representative calling because I know the BS that I will have to hear. I pray that things will turn around for us until the time to close on the house.

One good thing about DSLD that I will is that they have the floor plan that my wife and I love.
