Scam!
My husband and I noticed that our Electric Bill from Duke energy was almost double what it should be for the past 4-6 months. We replaced our HVAC system thinking that was the cause due to the age of the unit. Our bill the following 2 months were still over $450. We called Duke and they reported that Tomorrow Energy was the supplier that our Township chose unless opted out. We did not have notice of the switch that we were aware of. We immediately stopped the service and returned to Duke Energy and had them block any future suppliers from changing to their service. Unfortunately,we are still responsible for the next billing of possibly greater than $450. Total over billing of greater $1500 over 6 months. Please look at your monthly statements to be sure all suppliers are who you choose!

Thieves. Stay away from these people
Horrible company. Promises to notify you at the end of your fixed rate term but doesn't and then charges quadruple the rate per kilowatt hour on a monthly basis, more than double the next highest rate among all the companies, and far more than the local supplier. Have complained to state board, and company is stonewalling, but since they bilked us of nearly $1000, we will go to court.

Company practices scam called slamming
Tomorrow Energy practices a scam called slamming. A rep came to my door claiming everyone in my complex was required to choose a 3rd party supplier & he could show me where it said this on my bill. I never signed a contract, I never signed anything. I told him I did not want to change suppliers. He took the information from my bill & switched me from my current supplier to Tomorrow Energy without my consent.

they are horrible they switch your rate to triple the amt that the regular electric company charges stay away!!! I am filing a complaint against them. They never notify you when you are suppose to renew and my electric bill is sky high!!!

The sales rep talked my 90 year old Korean War vet dad into changing his electric bill and natural gas bill.
Had to call both utilities, and have it changed back.
They love to take advantage of the elderly!

This company does Bait-And-Switch/Slamming tactics!

We called when our fixed contract was running out and they assured us they would fall off the bill, instead they switched their company name to Tomorrow Energy and started giving us a variable rate they eventually shot our bill up slowly to over $530.00. We were paying over double the rate we should have been and have lost several thousand in excessive non-market based overcharges. If you have been taken advantage of too, fail a complaint with your or their Consumer Affairs Division or Revdex.com. This stuff won't stop if we don't do something.

no star! Scam artists!! They charge double the amount of market...Do not trust this company..They also prey on the elderly

The prices are high and the marketing practices they perform are not legal. A representative came to my apartment selling fixed rate energy and after being very pushy I stupidly relented. The sales representative then asked me to call their number and then when asked if there were the sales representative was still there he asked me to ie and pushed me further in signing up, At least train your sales representative to follow your own "code of conduct". Everything has been a horrible experievce with this company.

I am just being very lenient on the star rating that I’m giving this company we’ll see how they are but they have contacted our home as well as many other companies like them saying that they were calling on behalf of our current provider and we went with them thinking that our current provider that services the lines only does that and that they were definitely calling on behalf of them but I still have a really big-time negative gut feeling that we should’ve stayed with our main provider that services the lines because I just don’t feel good about companies like this one calling and saying that they’re calling on behalf of like Ohio Edison or Penn power or wherever you live and I even contacted Ohio Edison and they agreed that they should not be saying they’re calling on behalf of them because they do not have anybody calling and doing this they have never contracted any outside company so if you get a call and they’re saying that they’re calling on behalf of Ohio Edison they’re not it’s a scam for them to try to get your business it’s up to you but I had no other say except for that that I did not trust this company so we’ll have to wait and see but as of right now I don’t trust them they have to prove to me that they are reputable and trustworthy to be with

I recently learned that 3 months ago Sperian silently switch me to their variable rate plan at double the market rate. By law, they are required to notify you in advance of such changes. Don't trust this company.

Anyone that wants to resolve an issue with Sperian Energy should contact their State's PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
Not only do they prey on customers, but they do not pay their contractors.
These are the types of business that give Supplier's a bad name.
They have been fined before and will be fined again.

Your local Public Service Commission needs to hear from you regarding your complaints.

I want to share an extremely negative experience about Sperian Energy. First, everyone should monitor their electric or power provider bill. Sperian was to remove themselves from my account after my several phone calls almost 3 years ago. I tried again after one year and still no results. I come to find out that they are charging me DOUBLE the going KwH rate! It peaked at more than double in February. They prey on folks unknowingly just paying their bill every month. VERY bad business practices. I'm pissed!!

SPERIAN ENERGY KEEPS CALLING MY 91 YEAR OLD MOTHER. I HAVE BEEN TELLING THEM SINCE JUNE, 2017 TO TAKE HER OFF THEIR CALLING LIST. THEY KEEP CALLING HER WITH SOME LINE ABOUT SAVING HER MONEY. SHE IS SENILE AND SAYS YES TO ALL THESE 3RD PARTY COMPANIES. WE DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE FROM PSE&G. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP THESE CALLS. I WILL CALL THEM IN THE MORNING ALSO.
DOES THE SALESMAN GET A COMMISSION EVERY TIME SHE SAYS YES? AT LEAST 5 TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY KEEP CALLING. I ALWAYS CANCEL THE CHANGE WHEN I GET THE LETTER FROM PUBLIC SERVICE. I AM HER DAUGHTER, BY THE WAY.

Dear Ms.:
We received your complaint from the Revdex.com and are happy to place your mother’s telephone number (973)743-1673 on our internal “Do Not Call” list. We diligently maintain our “Do Not Call” lists to ensure that consumers are not receiving unwanted solicitations.
It is Sperian Energy’s goal to maintain an exceptional level of customer service and we regret anything that may have been considered unsatisfactory. Should you or your mother have any additional questions, do not hesitate to give us a call.
Sincerely,
*** Sperian Energy Corp - Office of the President

After noticing no cost savings whatsoever after a year of service we called and requested our account be cancelled. Some time had passed and we assumed all was well because we had cancelled our account. Lo and behold, I receive my most recent statement they are still listed on our energy bill. We called to follow up and to have the error corrected. Sperian denies that we ever called and cancelled, refuses to pull up recorded phone calls to prove that we never made such a call as "that's not something they do" and also cannot cite the dates that our cancellation/renewal notices would have been mailed from them to us because their records have been lost in a system change over. We have probably been overcharged hundreds of dollars from what our local carrier would have billed us in the time since the cancellation request was made until now. I asked to speak with a supervisor and instead received a call back from a representative saying that a supervisor could still call me but had already denied a request for a refund and instead they would like to offer a sincere apology. Doesn't seem so sincere if a supervisor couldn't be bothered to make that call. Obviously making a profit is more important than making it right. I would have been satisfied with an offer to refund even just one or two months worth of charges since they can't prove they sent out a renewal notice but all I got was my name mispronounced repeatedly and told that I should have noticed sooner. Seems like a great way to run a business.

I have received over 19 calls in a 4 week period from an out of country telemarketing service representing Sperian. I have asked repeatedly to have my number removed yet today I received another call. I am on the do not call list however it doesn't seem to make a difference. Why would I want to deal with a company that doesn't respond to complaints?
