Comments to his response to the Revdex.com in caps MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:The scope I had was a German scope that came off of a 1932 German mauser the scope was marked Germany.  I DO NOT KNOW WHAT RIFLE IT CAME OFF OF.   YES, THE SCOPE IS MARKED GERMANYIf it was marked Germany it is therefore WW2 anything after that would be marked East Germany or W Germany.  INCORRECT - THERE WAS NO TRADE AGREEMENT THAT MANDATED THAT A COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE BE PUT ON AN ITEM, WITH RESPECT TO EITHER EAST, OR WEST GERMANYThe mounl alone is worth $200 to $250 on the internet.  INCORRECT - THE MOUNT TOO IS OF POST WAR MANUFACTURE, AND HAS ALLEN SCREWS THAT CAME IN MANY YEARS AFTER WWII. I AM NOT SURE IF THE MOUNT SET IS EVEN WORTH $50.00He had my card with my name and phone number on it.  TRUE I GOT HIS CARD, BUT NOT UNTIL AUGUST OF 2015, WHEN I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY CONNECT WITH HIM TO EVEN IDENTIFY WHO HE, OR HIS BUSINESS WAS GIVEN MY PREVIOUS EXPLANATION FOR THE DELAY.Dont know why he waited one year to contact me.  I EXPLAINED TO HIM WHEN I APPROACHED HIM IN AUGUST OF 2015, THAT I DID NOT KNOW WHO HE WAS, OR HAVE HIS BUSINESS NAME, OR EVEN THE NAME OF THE SHOW ORGANIZER TO BE ABLE TO REACH TO DETERMINE HIS IDENTITYThe key to this is the word Germany, the word made in the USA or Japan or any country was put on everything after WW2. INCORRECT, AS THIS IS JUST HIS ASSUMPTION. AGAIN THERE WERE NO TRADE AGREEMENTS MANDATING THAT COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE BE LABELED ON EVERY ITEM. THIS WAS PURELY A MARKETING TACTIC TO ENHANCE THE PERCEPTION OF QUALITY OF MANUFACTURE. THE KEY IS THE RESPONSE FROM FRANKONIA DATING THE RANGE OF WHEN THIS MODEL SCOPE WAS PRODUCEDScope is sold as is. - I SAW NO SIGNS, NOR WAS IT STATED TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, IRREGARDLESS THIS DOES NOT APPLY UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. From: "LARRY" <[redacted]
Sent: Tuesday, May 31, 2016 6:15:16 PMSubject: FRANKONIA Response to my Inquiry: Bitte - Baujahr - Information Request - Frankonia rifle scope - Germany 7446 - 6x42/49  / Vorgangsnummer 441276[redacted],It is very unfortunate today that you did not seem to want to listen to me about the source of the information I now have about the scope that you sold to me, actually being the company Frankonia itself, whose name is on the scope from their Cus[redacted]er Service Department located in Germany - Europe.          PLEASE - Read the reply sent to me from Frankonia just below.Yesterday, I went to the Frankonia company's website located in Germany, and I found a link connection to their CS Dept. and I then sent them both pictures, and a physical description of the 7446 rifle scope you sold me, and a complete listing of all markings on it, and this is the reply I received from them this morning.Your thoughts of it having to be stated that for post war production of items produced there, that it has to be labeled West Germany, is not correctI understand that while this is true of some items produced in Germany during the post war period, it is not true for all items made in Germany during that time.If this is what the person that you got the scope from is telling you, and you actually still believe that, then you are 'unintentionally misrepresenting' the scope, but none the less you are 'actually misrepresenting' its production vintage.         The Frankonia scope that you sold to me is PostWar made, not PreWar production. The production vintage information is now established by Frankonia to be a fact.I knew this was going to be problematic from your earlier lack of response and willingness to work with me, and so I thought it best to just get the 'definitive information' right from Frankonia about when it was made, and here is their response both in English and German just below.Again it is very unfortunate that you seem to continue to believe what this person is telling you, instead of even listening to me, but you are both incorrect. You should not have just hung up on me without even listening to me about what I have come to find out about the item you sold to me.PLEASE - Read the reply from Frankonia just below.[redacted]

Review: I proceeded to purchase a firearm from tom and from my understanding it is illegal for him to take the full price of the firearm before I get the product. when I purchased the firearm he asked for the full amount of the handgun. upon finding out that I received a denial for my purchase through the background check he wont refund me the money that I purchased the gun for! I was told that I can legally go and cancel the transaction and get my money back. I dont have the product so why should he still have my money.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my transaction of the purchase of the firearm. I never received the firearm nor will he refund me the money. so inturn I would like you guys to see what is going on and why he wont refund me the money! Thank you for your time

Response:

I have advised him that all he needs to do is file for an appeal through the State of Wisconsin at [redacted]

I had a similar experience to some of the other complaints I have heard about this store. Bottom line, do not ever pay with cash, and do not expect timely service. It took me about a month to get my money back from them after giving them cash to order something specific for me and them not being able to find it. the worst part was the running back and forth to gun shows I did after they kept claiming that they would have the money at the next gun show.

If you do business with this place use a credit card and if you get in this situation, the card company can do a charge back, which costs them money, rather than costing you money running around just to be told "next week".
