Tom's Products Reviews (2)

First and foremost, my company worked hard to accomplish Jessica's bikinis. Now, I want to give you a brief explanation of what we do. We are manufacturing company; providing customers with patterns, cut and sew services, all types of silk screening, and custom apparel. We had a couple of...

meetings with Jessica and from the very beginning we knew Jessica had no experience with cut and sew factories. So, we tried to accommodate her as best we could, but she was not well prepared.  After the first pattern we made for her, she gave me a check and it bounce. That made us very weary of her, usually our customers tell us if they don't have sufficient funds. Our company is family based and we are very fond with customers.  We were weary because we had people who come and ask for a pattern, we make it for them. Then, they don't pay and never come back. This was the assumption we made because she didn't answer her phone for a week nor did she communicate with us.
After this incident we talked it out and cleared the air, however, a lot of work needed to be done. Problems started when I made samples for her for Coachella. She went the whole weekend and on Monday Jose, the guy that does sublimation for us, needed the “go ahead”, to start printing. (By this time we had already cut all the fabric, it just needed to be printed and then we sew it.) She didn't answer the whole week. I left her numerous voicemails and didnt get a response until a week and a half later. When she did call me back, I was backed up on a big backpack order and had little time to entertain her work. Also, Jose was backed up as well. Due to that his press and his printer both broke down. I clearly explained this to Jessica and that I had to go look for a new guy to print for me.
It took me a little bit over two weeks to find a new sublimation guy. When I found him, I told Jessica that I needed to send the patterns to get them digitized. I told her it was going to take me some time to get them back. At this time Jessica was already in a hurry. She said she didn’t want the bikinis anymore and to return her patterns and money. I reimbursed the money but the patterns were not in my possession, so I printed them on a marking paper, I had the patterns in a digitized format. After about two weeks she calls me again and starts yelling at me that I didn’t give her the patterns, but I never told her those were her patterns. I told her it was a marking paper with the patterns printed and can still be used, but needs to be put on a pattern paper. I told her I was going to send her the patterns that day, I had just received them. When I went to USPS, I made sure they get a signature from her and only her. Also, I told her the date it was going to arrive, so she gets it. All the dates are there. She made this claim after I mailed the patterns but she wasn’t there to receive it.

Review: Hello,I have a swimwear line that I began two years ago. In April of 2014 I started manufacturing my suits with Tom's Products. I purchased patterns and grading for my collection along with 100 suits to be produced. After a series of events and excuses of incomplete production I decided to pull out and return my pattern pieces, markers, and samples. Anything that I had paid for I wanted back. After many un returned phone calls and unreturned emails I drove to Santa Ana to retrieve my goods. They did not have everything at their shop and agreed to mail it to me. It has been a month and I have not received goods I have already paid for. This business has costed me an entire summer of money lost and time.Desired Settlement: I would like my goods delivered to me with a full reimbursement of the patterns and grading and my time, which is a small sum of $400. I can not move forward with out this pattern and I can't afford to start over.
