Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is a followup to the dialog between Toners Excavating and me, [redacted] The complaint is regarding defective cement work done at my home in Deer Park.On 5/10/I sent an email to Toners in response to theirs of 5/9/I their response they keep stating their position that the disintegration of the surface of the pad in front of my garage was due to either freezing of ice or me putting deicer salt on the cementThe ice I don't know about, but I did not use deicer on the padI remove the snow by plowingThey offered to replace the pad at their cost plus materialsI other words I have to by the pad all over again! I have asked them twice to come and look at the problem which they refuse to doIn my 5/10/response mentioned above I asked if they would participate in arbitration and they ignored that questionIs there any other action the Revdex.com can take at this point? Hi,My response to Mr [redacted] is that I Offered to replace his concrete for exactly what the labor and materials cost me I cannot be held responsible for him not maintaining his cement slab The slab was poured using a psi exterior cement, it was placed using the latest in industry standards, and was sealed using a cure and seal after finishing The slab was fine for years and had not been sealed again to protect against freeze thaw or deicer My warranty is only for year Also, I offered to send someone to look at his slabAfter he had already emailed me pictures of the problems I feel I have answered all questions and would like to know if Mr [redacted] wants to accept my offer as it is all I can do for himThanks,KT***

This is a letter about a complaint filed with the Revdex.com by a Mr** ***. I was informed of Mr*** issues with my company by a certified letter that he mailed around the first of April. I had no prior knowledge of his problems with the work we performed in 2014. As a
company that both supplies cement as well as finishes it, we take great pride in our products and workmanship However, if I provided a full lifetime warranty that concrete is not going to crack or have surface flaws I would be out of business. There is a common saying among concrete finishers that is “the only guarantee with concrete is it will crack”. The letter I mailed back to Mr*** explains, not only what I stated above, but also what I do warranty. If this would have been something that happened in the first year, I would have been more than happy to warranty his concrete Since this is a project that we finished over 1/years ago, I have no way of knowing what caused the issues with the slab. It is a well-known fact that salts and other ice melting products have horrible effects on concrete, as do Freeze thaw cycles. I feel that my employees and myself did everything within industry standards to supply Mr*** with a quality product I feel that my company is known for its community support and for standing by our products. I am willing to replace the apron portion of Mr*** slab for only my cost of our labor and materials. I will also have my employees install a crack filler in his shop floor, for only the cost of our labor and materials. I feel that I am being more than generous in offering to repair and replace these issues with minimal cost to Mr***, being that there was no warranty written or implied to him at all by my company Thank You,Thanks,KT***

This complaint that I made regarding Toner's concrete work has been resolved to my satisfactionHis crew took out the old concrete and replaced it, finishing the job on 9/9/I have advised Mr T*** of this ** ***
