Tonken Remodeling

Tonken remodeling did not pull proper required permits for the remodel of our bathroom. He also went beyond agreed upon work and pulled up our bathroom subfloor to find additional electrical problems to add to the cost of the renovation. He also pulled out plumbing that was not necessary.

When we wanted to bring in our own master electrician to look at the electrical problems he uncovered, Mr. Tonken became livid and then hostile, both over the phone and in writing. When he came to retrieve his equipment from our home, he was extremely angry when he first arrived.

Given the fact that he did not pull the required permits with the county and his erratic behavior, I do not feel it is safe for him to return to our property where my young children are present to resume the bathroom renovation.

He has refused to release us from the contract.

We have given him $7,028.50 and all we have is a demoed bathroom.
