Customer called and was complaining aboutthe installation, cost, and amount of time on job and about the type of outsidefaucet that was installed on 10/06/ Onthis day not only did we install the outside faucet we also looked for a leakaround the well, which required digging the well
up by hand. We determined at this time that the leak wascoming from the well saddle valve and had homeowner contact a licensed welldriller to correct the problem. After the job was completed on 10/06/2014the customer said she had called the Revdex.com on 10/16/ Weresponded the same date The plumbing mechanic that was originallywas sent on the job wanted to drill a new hole in the siding to make theoutside faucet flush against siding. However, the homeowner wanted it back in the original hole which wasunder the siding. Homeowner stated thatthe outside faucet that was installed was plastic. This is not true. The outside faucet we installed is an anti-siphon,anti-freeze brass Legend outside faucet with a metal handle coated withrubber. On 10/16/we sent over two plumbers tolook over her complaint and saw that the job was done correctly and we took anoutside faucet with us to show her the exact outside faucet we had installedwas not plastic. Homeowner stated that she wanted a regularoutside faucet which would have required an additional back flowpreventer. We explained to her that thistype of outside faucet the homeowner wanted would not be self draining, whichwould cause the faucet to freeze. She also stated the wood holding theoutside faucet under her siding, pulled out her siding. However, the Asbestos siding is very old andthe nail holding the siding was rotted and could be pulled out by hand. An agreement was made to reimburse her for$ which she said was the price another plumber would charge her. We agreed for her to call us once the job iscomplete by another plumber and when we receive the outside faucet weoriginally installed, we would refund the $ by check within the sameday. I called the homeowner on 10/27/at9:AMand again that same day at AM. As of today, 10/28/she has not responded to my calls

An agreement was made to reimburse her for$ 179.00 which she said was the price another plumber would charge her.  We agreed for her to call us once the job iscomplete by another plumber and when we receive the outside faucet weoriginally installed, we would refund the $ 179.00 by check within the sameday.  Please have her contact us once job iscompleted by another plumber via mail: [redacted], NJ [redacted] and I will personally bring her a check in the amount listed aboveand pick up our outside faucet as well.

I am rejecting this response because:  They said they would send me a refund and to date they have not.  I will not fix it prior to the refund and I will not speak to them other than in written form.  They have my address and it is now up to them to refund me for the issues I stated in my complaint. Once it is fixed the evidence of the problem will be gone so it will not be fixed prior to a refund.

Review: Over charged for job by a half hour and quality of plumbing work done replacing a hose bib at my home is so poor I have to hire another plumber to remove and replace what was done. Installation pushing my asbestos siding away from my house at sill plate. Part used is not appropriate for location and has plastic handle. Should have cut pipe shorter and should have used a hose bib that fits the job not try to cram in the part they had with them. Charged me for 2.5 hours when plumber was at my home for under 2 hours.Desired Settlement: Cost of plumber I am hiring to fix the work plus replacement part and the cost of half hour labor I was over charged. Will provide bill when new plumber fixes the work. They can have the part back too as it is not a part I would ever want to use it has a plastic handle and does not fit properly. I have no use for it.
